Question:	How would one go about cooking rice in this
Answer:	It is sized to fit a range of shoe sizes. My son wears a size 12 and it was only slightly long for his foot. If you are 11 1/2 it should be fine. your toes will not be hanging over the edge. I wear women's size 10 and it was perfect for me as well.
Question:	Is this like an electric steamer you'd have at home? Can it cook rice, veg and meat? or just reheat
Answer:	Mine don't seem to squeak appreciably on floors after a bit of wear. I've had mine since November '18 and wear them 5 days a week and they did have a bit of noise initially on linoleum but don't seem to do it at all anymore, and I really didn't notice a lot during break in. I think you just need to get the new-ness wore off the soles so that they get the underlying plastic/rubberized surface scuffed enough. So, "go take a hike ;-)"

Answer:	There are very similar. The two differences I am aware of are that the H20 Hiking boot is all leather versus leather & textile. The H2O boot is also about 5 - 8% less expensive. I have purchased 3 of the H2O version over the last 10 years. I wear them almost every day and originally got the first pair for my trip to Yellowstone.
