Answer:	Hi, the bed leg has a rectangular plate abut 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches with a screw hole in each corner and that fits nicely on to the slats of our bed which are 2 inches wide.. If your centre rail is 2 inches or so wide then you could fit it there too. The leg has a good range of height adjustment, so it would work in either place.Oh, I used two of these claw legs positioned equally across the bed width on a single slat in the center of the bed, this made the bed very stable.

Answer:	I am not sure on your mattress, but we purchased a new Serta and it does require something like these as the 5th. leg. We also have 8 slats but we did notice a much more stable and level bed.

Answer:	What size of mattress are you using? We have a standard Queen mattress and the frame at the foot of the bed does not stick out, in fact the mattress is about 6-12" longer than the frame Those are the ones you cover with the plastic caps that are included. The large curved points on the end of the frame are for attaching a headboard to the bed. We have those against the wall and a nightstand on either side. Attaching a headboard would fix that as well. If those are at the foot of the bed, spin the frame around.

Answer:	I have a full size mattress on it and it sits about 4.5 feet wide, 6.5 feet in length and from the bottom of the mattress to the floor is 6.5 inches...without the leg stands which may only add 2-3 inches.
