Answer:	The glass is not the thickest nor the thinnest... somewhere in the middle. The covers do not fit well on and can easily fall off (not tight fitted). But overall I am satisfied with the jars which were bought to put candies.

Answer:	I never put these bases in the dish washer!!! They are very delicate. I have many of them and I always hand wash and dry them with paper towels!!! They always look like new.
