Answer:	No, the air scape top works as both the air scraper and as cap for container. It works very well and the top does not get loosen or gets off unless you pull it out. My husband stores nuts and it really stay fresh.

Answer:	Yes. A dog's sense of smell is extremely good. (Google "dog's sense of smell".) The containers are pretty good but little bits air (and smell) will leak out and little particles of whatever you put in the container will stick to the outside of the lid and the glass. A dog that is trained to signal when he smells "coffee beans" will signal when near this container if it is filled with "coffee beans". It would be better than a zip-lock bag but ...

Answer:	It can. I would just warn that it could tip in the process. I tend to hold the side or too lightly and then open so I don’t spill but the hinder part yes only one hand is needed.

Answer:	It's brushed stainless steel, & the band around the top is high polish stainless steel. Looks just like the picture.

Answer:	Hand wash. A dishwasher will ruin the CO2 filter.
Question:	Does the scoop have a spot to hang on the canister
Answer:	Yes! It has 2 places to hang the scoop. If you slide the handle sideways through the back hinge, it stays there nicely. Or, unlatch the lid, then thread the handle slot onto the top latch that projects from the front of the lid, & close the bottom latch over it, so it sits at a jaunty sideways angle. Also you can buy a small metal "S" hook at the hardware store to hang it straight up-and-down from the back hinge or the front latch.

Answer:	I would assume for both. But I use mine strictly for grounded.. I got the dark gray canister. A lil more money but I think more decorative.
