Question:	Does it give loud noises when it's working
Answer:	The only 'loud' noise (by comparison with generally quiet operation) is when the vacuum sealing process completes. This unit is much quieter that my FoodSaver unit .
Question:	Does this do retort sealing
Answer:	The vp215 is NOT approved for sealing retort pouches.
Question:	Is this machine fit for home use? Or just commercial use
Answer:	It's great for home use. I keep it on the countertop. Daily, I seal salad ingredients in jars and they stay fresh a long time (11 days and romaine was still good, radishes spot-free and like new). Leftovers sealed in jars last longer in the fridge. I buy tea bags in bulk and pack them in canning jars; it takes 20 seconds to do 3 pint jars at a time. Buy meat in bulk or on sale, and make portion packs. Buy frozen veggies in bulk and make portion packs for grab and go dinner prep. Cereal, pretzels, and nuts are still like-new fresh a year later, sealed in jars. It's great for things you're slow to use up. Store-bought jars (jam, mustard, etc.) also seal up to prolong freshness, and can be washed and they'll seal up again with something new inside. There's a complete range of options to suit your needs: adjustable vacuum times, sealing times, and heat-seal bar cooling times. You can do jars without any sealing or cooling. You can do a tight, form-fitting bag seal, or not use any vacuum power at all, and seal a bag of potato chips unbroken. The oil is cheap, easy to change, lasts a LONG time, and is worth it for the quiet operation and long-lasting motor. Then there's hunting season, and production packaging of venison or whatever else you get. It's so fast, and meat lasts 2 years in the freezer in top condition. I use to do all this with a Food-Saver type of machine (an old Kenmore look-alike), which was loud, unbearably slow, and utterly unable to do a production run. I did the math, and between cutting food waste and the price of the bags, this will pay for itself in just a few years at most.
Question:	Has anyone tried to seal Quart Jars in this units yet and if so how well did it work or not
Answer:	Yes, I seal quart jars (both regular and wide mouth) by leaving the bands loose and placing the jars on their sides. You can seal up to three quart jars at a time. I set the vacuum cycle to 70 seconds, seal to 0 seconds, & cool for 0 seconds. Since the jars must be placed on their sides, vacuum packing flours does not work well for me, but larger particle contents like beans, peas, or even steal cut oats works very well.Ball jars on side maximum capacity:1 half gallon.3 quart.6 pint.11 half pint.Ball jars standing up maximum capacity:2 pint.7 half pint.

Answer:	I'm so sorry - not available just yet but hope to have a cat model in the future. The box urn could still be used for a cat by inserting your favourite cat photo.
Question:	What kind of paint would you suggest to use with this canvases
Answer:	so its a piece of glass that slides in grooves and a piece of backing behind it- the paw slides down in ours so i just left it towards the bottom- over all its nice- the ern(tin) the vet gave us does not fit in the box but we have her collars and other items in there. its a good buy.
Question:	Can adults or teenagers use this
Answer:	No. If you're referring to the removable tray the older model had, that you could put flat items on, the new model doesn't have that. The new model is also smaller than the old model.
Question:	can it be used outdoors
Answer:	I would leave the ashes sealed in something but you could put whatever that is inside of the box. That is what we are doing with ours.

Question:	The tray on the underside is damaged. How do I go about getting a partial refund
Answer:	There’s a slot in the bottom with a plastic cover. This alone won’t keep photo from damage outside. When I gave it as a gift to a friend as a rememberence, I included a name brand laminate that was the same size as the slot - you open the little folder, stick photo in the middle and press to seal. Works great. I think a 5 pack was $5. Then I recommended my friend place a thin strip of packing tape or even duct tape to cover slot to keep condensation out. It’s a really nice quality rememberence and most office supply stores or stationary department of Walmart will likely have the laminate sheets available.

Question:	How to stop unused portions from drying out? I've had 3 half full tubes get hard during storage after blocking/covering up the hole in the past
Answer:	Like Badtimmy66 says put a screw in the end (make sure it's a tight fitting screw that you pretty much have to screw in but not too large it screw the nozzle up) and I also use duct tape. Put a strip over top of the nozzle from side to side then usually a couple raps around the nozzle and make sure nozzle is tight at base and mine seems to last quit awhile without digging any hard material out of the nozzle

Question:	What chemical can be used on it to “smooth” after applying
Answer:	Thank you for your question! You can tool the 3M 08367 Urethane Seam Sealer with water or mild solvent such as a pre-cleaner. Do not tool with any alcohol containing solvents, they will stop the curing process of the seam sealer.

Answer:	This is the number of times you can vacuum and seal a bag before the unit gets to hot to do this. I did have a different one before buying this one and could only do about five to ten bags before it would just flash the lights tell it cooled down.
