| Answer: | Most dried foods can be vacuum sealed. For beans and other hard foods, make sure there are no really sharp edges that can eventually poke through the bags if stacked on top of each other. A trick to prevent this is to take some thin cardboard (like a cereal box), cut to fit and "sandwich" the beans inside of it. Dry goods can also be vacuum sealed in canning jars by using the jar adapters. |

” bags. The first bag I sealed did stick slightly to the bar. On the second bag, I set the bag in the sealer and had to walk away for a minute. When I returned the bag had been sitting in the sealer for maybe 30 secs to a minute. I opened the sealer up and no sticking at all. I played around with the next several bags I sealed, if you open it immediately after the machine stops it will stick. If you leave it for between 5-10 secs no sticking at all. I am very satisfied with these bags and as long as my results don’t vary roll to roll, I will no longer be buying the “Brand Name” bags.
