Answer:	Most dried foods can be vacuum sealed. For beans and other hard foods, make sure there are no really sharp edges that can eventually poke through the bags if stacked on top of each other. A trick to prevent this is to take some thin cardboard (like a cereal box), cut to fit and "sandwich" the beans inside of it. Dry goods can also be vacuum sealed in canning jars by using the jar adapters.

Answer:	Hi Dana, this is a good question! The thickness of the clear side is 3 mil and the embossed side is 11 mil. Answer:	That is usually caused by excessive moisture in the product you are sealing, when the moisture gets up to the seal point

Answer:	Purchased 09/25/2020 (USA). The 200-pack 8" x 12" bags do have an "easy-tear" notch, located, on one side, about 2 inches from the FACTORY-SEALED end (not the open end that you manually seal). The (semi-circular) notch does make it very very easy to tear, especially once you clear the factory-sealed edge. As others have noted, this bag is actually very difficult to tear, but the notch makes it very easy. Note: this notch makes me suspect that if there's any slight tear, rip or cut damage to any portion of the factory-sealed edge, that edge is going to keep ripping open with any handling.

Answer:	Hello, Absolutely not. A commercial grade bag is laboratory tested and FDA approved for use with food. Everything I sell fits this criteria and is commercial grade. I only sell commercial grade products that I use with my own family. I used to sell 4MIL bags. However, I learned that, unless you own a very high quality sealer, like a VacMaster, that has an adjustable seal bar heating time, a 4MIL bag can easily lose its seal if there is any moisture drawn up into the the sealing area of the bag. 3.5MIL bags are much more puncture resistant than the standard 3MIL bags that are sold in stores, but can still hold a reliable seal, even with inexpensive sealers. Answer:	Yes, but be sure to use the vacuum seal type bags/rolls. Other plastics may not seal well, hold up well in the sous vide bath, or may give off noxious or toxic gases while cooking.

Answer:	It won't fit over the whole pan, but if you line your pan with foil, make your casserole, & freeze it overnight covered with foil, you can tip the whole casserole out of the pan with the foil & the casserole will fit into a long tube made from these rolls. I do it all the time.
Question:	Has anyone used these with a Seal A Meal vacuum food sealer
Answer:	Those bag rolls will definitely work with that machine and with any other vacuum seal machine out there!!
Question:	Does the bigger roll fit in the food saver machine
Answer:	No, it doesn't. You'll have to roll off some length and work with this. These rolls also don't work well. The food saver machine has problems to suck all the air out before it is sealed. We returned to the more expensive, but reliably working original rolls.
Question:	How many mils thick are these rolls
Answer:	Not sure; it does not appear to be stated anywhere. But they feel the same as conventional vacuum seal bags. We've finished one full roll, and are well thru the 2nd. Will certainly purchase again. The 'only' problem was the rolls are too large to fit in the unit, but I just unrolled about 1/2 of it and used as normal. Save the inner cardboard tube for future use! Hope this helps!
