To use, fill the round ice molds with water and let them freeze overnight to produce small, round blocks of ice. Next, allow the ice thaw for 5-7 minutes before shaving. When the ice is thawed and easy to remove from the mold, place it into the ice crusher cup. Answer:	I had this and sent it back, to me it wasnt ljke what you get in Hawaii at all. Even though it did shave the ice pretty fine there was always small chunks that made every bite crunchy. If you don't mind it being somewhat crunchy you will probably like it. If you want it like you get in Hawaii you'll have to do what I did and get a machine the the ones they use over there. I bought a fujiyama, expensive but awsome.

Hardly ever have ice left over in the hopper. I am using this item allot in my ice cream truck, and it works great. Shaves a 16 oz cup in 30 seconds.

Answer:	We have found when you use Just ice cubes it’s more course like snocone ice but if you use blocks of ice (we froze small round containers of water) it’s more like the “fluffy” “snow” like ice.

Question:	Is this a messy machine throwing snow all over the place or is it well contained when in use
Answer:	It can be messy if you go to fast. It doesn't have a spout, so therefore can splatter, but it is not a professional machine and for the cost, you can't expect it to work as such. I wouldn't let anyone but an adult run any of such machines.
Question:	Can you use regular ice cubes
Answer:	Yes. When I received the shipment, I used the ice cube that my refrigerator made. At the beginning process, the saved ice was like snow, but the last of the ice was like a pea-size crushed ice. Loud machine.
