Question:	How many cones does one ice "puck" make and can extra puck molds be ordered so there's always some ready? How many can it make in a row before it's best to let the engine rest a bit (common in small appliances
Answer:	I bought this machine to make "copos" instead of just plain sno-cones which meant we needed to leave room for powdered milk and sweetened condensed milk. Also, we were doing more of a tasting so we did not do overly large portions (ie filled to the height of the cone without a rounded mound on top). As a result, we were able to get about 4 cones from each "puck." Someone else mentioned that they got about 2 cones. That sounds about right, and it is true that it depends on how tightly you pack the snow. As to how many it can make in a row. Here is my experience: it will shave down one "puck" pretty quickly. At that point you need to stop, open the machine, pull out the now thin disk of ice that remains, and then you put the next one in. By the time you have done all of this, the machine has had a small rest. I was able to continue like this making cones for about 32 people (8 "pucks" in this instance) without any problems. The instructions that come with the machine do say not to run the machine continuously for more than 2 minutes, but it takes less than that to shave down one puck. We did a second event where we made "copos" for about 24 people, and the same held true. So, I would say this machine is good to go for the occasional large group, but you might consider a different machine if you are looking to do large amounts frequently or need to do large amounts very quickly. Otherwise, it has been working great for us, and we are really pleased with the purchase. The extra molds are available through Hawaiian Shaved Ice, but I have not priced them out at all since I was not going to have time to get them shipped in before our first event. I found that with a little pre-planning and some Zip-lock bags, I was able to put up enough ice easily for both large events I have used it for. I am just keeping a gallon bag of the "pucks" in my freezer now so that when I want a tasty treat or a frozen grown-up beverage, I am all set to go. It works great. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, if you use the included freezer mold. If you use ice cubes the ice has a more slush consistency.
Question:	how do my snow cone package by Hawaiian shaved ice work
Answer:	There are little plastic "pucks" in the kit. You add water to these and freeze them solid. When frozen you take one ice puck out of the plastic and drop it into the ice shaver, turn it on and it shaves away at the ice puck and into the cone. That's it, easy, simple, add syrup flavoring and you have a wonderful snow cone. They are called ice pucks because they look like hockey pucks. I freeze them ahead, take them out of the plastic and put them in individual sandwich size baggies so I have a supply on hand when needed.
Question:	how many servings
Answer:	For each "puck" of ice, you get 2-3 servings, depending on how generous the portions. I remove the pucks of ice and store them in baggies so I can reuse the containers to make more ice. I made 20 pucks for a party of 16 kids and had ice left over.... Even after most have 2 servings and a few had 3.

To use, fill the round ice molds with water and let them freeze overnight to produce small, round blocks of ice. Next, allow the ice thaw for 5-7 minutes before shaving. When the ice production completes, there will be a thin layer of the ice block in the ice crusher cup – this is to prevent the ice-gripper plate from making contact with the blade. Answer:	I had this and sent it back, to me it wasnt ljke what you get in Hawaii at all. Even though it did shave the ice pretty fine there was always small chunks that made every bite crunchy. If you don't mind it being somewhat crunchy you will probably like it. If you want it like you get in Hawaii you'll have to do what I did and get a machine the the ones they use over there. I bought a fujiyama, expensive but awsome.

Answer:	This will destroy the machine as the syrup is high in sugar it would coat the blades making them dull and slightly bending. The sugar would also dry to a sticky mess to the internals of the machine

Answer:	This differs in size and strength. It is a small unit about the size of a blender. Its body is ridged plastic with metal blades. When filled with ice you press the lid down for instant snow like shaved ice that only block shavers can beat. It takes around 30 seconds to do 1 so it is pretty fast but it's LOUD. EVERYONE WILL KNOW YOUR USING IT. It's great to make a few at a time but not for a business. You can take it anywhere and plug it in and your ready! Hands down the best home unit you can buy. Answer:	We typically just use the standard snow cone "cones"; however, the shaved ice does escape around it. Like others that have already answered your question the best size is a larger cup (also makes almost no mess at all when making them). Answer:	one blade machine will not work without lid on however do not try to take ice out to clean - blade is very sharp. We learned the hard way. just pour warm water through the top to clean it out.

Answer:	It can be stored back in the box. I did not do it because of frequent use.

Answer:	I do not think that will work. The purpose of the pusher is to push the ice cubes down on the blades.

Question:	It says the machine is supposed to lock but I don't see anywhere for it to lock down after adding mixture
Answer:	Nope doesn't lock.
Question:	do they come out evenly browned
Answer:	No, see the picture on the box, this what you get at best. Mine cooks on half the batter the other half never gets brown. If you leave it till it's brown to hard/done to make cone or bowl.
Question:	Can it make crepes also
Answer:	I don't see why not. I haven't tried crepes, that would have to be an awful thin batter. Why not give it a try...all you'll lose is a small batter. I have the greatest time experimenting with this unit.......good luck to ya
Question:	Are the cones crisp
Answer:	Using the recipe that comes with it, yes uf you use them right away. I jave used them the next day amd they are a little soft. I haven't experimented with other recipes yet though. I have been very happy with my machine.

Answer:	I had the same problem, the machine would not even power up, I sent mine back but I was never given my money back!
Question:	The plastic part that screws into the inner top of the machine to guide the ice cubes broke. Is it possible to find a replacement for it

Question:	what is the differance between the 2 snowcone ice machines,between the srm-702 and the 50's series
Answer:	I’ve had several of these and similar designs. Had to exchange one because of blade alignment. I couldn’t find the 50’s series mentioned to see if I had owned that one as well (did have one like the RSM but it was decorated with coca-cola design). Have had some issues with some and others worked perfect. Current one I own works great and use it often to make snowcones for the grands.

Answer:	We have found when you use Just ice cubes it’s more course like snocone ice but if you use blocks of ice (we froze small round containers of water) it’s more like the “fluffy” “snow” like ice.

Answer:	It can be messy if you go to fast. It doesn't have a spout, so therefore can splatter, but it is not a professional machine and for the cost, you can't expect it to work as such. I wouldn't let anyone but an adult run any of such machines.

Answer:	Yes. When I received the shipment, I used the ice cube that my refrigerator made. At the beginning process, the saved ice was like snow, but the last of the ice was like a pea-size crushed ice. Loud machine.
