Answer:	Not at all. Just go light on oil to crisp breads. Let it cool a little and wipe with a moist paper towel or sponge and it's clean. I LOVE this product! Got one for family and friends and we all really enjoy it. No one has had any problems. Answer:	It is very sharp and can take a lot if you let it, but the advantage of being sharp is that it can be controlled. I've used it to take a little skin off of tender cukes and new potatoes and also gone deep with old potatoes, etc. By far the favorite peeler I've used over the last 50+ years.

Answer:	I do not remember seeing where it was made on the packaging (which was discarded shortly after It was opened.) I just re-read the Amazon description which did not identify where it was made. I don't really care where it was made because it is the best peeler I have ever used. It feels good in my hand, it peels off very thin pieces of the vegetable being peeled, the "blade " is very sharp and it seems to be very well constructed with quality materials. My husband had one of the old-style linden peelers inherited from his parents which is at least 50 years old and still works great (a son took it with him when he moved away to college.)
