Answer:	This was a challenge for us too. I needed a food safe cleaner. We were able to clean the pot with soap and water but the glass was the tricky part. Answer:	I am using Paragon Coconut Popcorn Popping Oil from Amazon for 19.99 per gallon. I use a tablespoon from the regular silverware, not a real tablespoon, I do 1 1/2 heaping spoons of oil, then I measure 8 oz of popcorn that I purchase at Sam's Club in 50lb bags. I also use the Mighty Pop Popcorn salt from Sam's Club, and I use it very very sparingly, about 2 teaspoons. I put the oil in the popper and let it heat until I see steam rising, then, I have the salt and popcorn in the same measuring cup and pour it in together. This will make almost the perfect popcorn. The salt is where you can make or break it, as too much salt and it isnt good, and too little salt and it isnt good. The oil tints the popcorn and makes it look buttery, and the salt actually adds that butter flavor to it. On the 8oz measurement, it is 8oz weight, not 8oz in a measuring cup. I hope this helps, as it took me a while to find the right ingredients to get the "perfect" flavor.

Question:	Does anyone know how to remove the popcorn odor after use? I hand wash the bowl really well with dish soap but doesn't remove the odor. Ugh
Answer:	The manufacturer recommends that you pop WITHOUT oil, because the oil can cause scorching. I pop without oil, using AmishCountryPopcorn baby white kernels, and I often have fewer than 5 unpopped kernels. AFTER POPPING, I transfer the popcorn into a different bowl and add butter-flavored oil and popcorn salt.
Question:	Do you have to use oil or can it be used without
Answer:	(Directions say you can pop the unpopped kernels. I tried it and not one of them popped.) I have also burned a batch in the past. I would say that while the performance will not be affected, the burned container will affect the taste. I threw out the burned one and ordered another.

Answer:	It pops around 1/3 of a cup, which is around 5.3 Tablespoons. For comparison, a large/standard bag of microwave popcorn is around 4 Tablespoons. The Hotpop leaves far fewer unpopped kernels than the bagged stuff, though, so the volume of cooked popcorn is probably quite a bit greater than the raw difference would indicate. Two batches in the Hotpop should be roughly equal to three large microwaveable bags.

Answer:	I've found that using oil makes a big difference. More kernels pop thoroughly. I fill the container to the second line and add 1.5 tablespoons of Canola oil. I make sure to stir the oil around so every kernel gets wet. Then I place the Hot Pop in the microwave for 2min35sec. Once done, I slowly transfer the popcorn to a larger salad bowl a portion at a time. While doing the transfer, I add a pinch of course sea salt to each transfer until the transfer is complete. I've had my Hot Pop for 6 months and eat popcorn everyday! No damages to the container yet. This is the best tasting popcorn I've ever eaten! I've completely stopped buying bags of corn chips (usually $4-$5/ bag). I just buy bags of whole kernel popcorn. Orville Redenbacher seems to pop the best for me, but they all work great.
