Question:	Mine arrived sealed in a clear bag with absolutely no instructions. Where did you look to see how long and how many to cook safely
Answer:	It claims to be titanium. I use mine on an induction cooktop with no problems, therefore it cannot be aluminum. It has to be some form of steel, (stainless , titanium alloy, etc) for it to work on an induction cooktop. The non stick coating covers all but the handle and the bottom of the pan.

Answer:	The inside bottom of my skillet is 7.5 inches and top is 10.25" I believe it was sold as a 10" skillet but am not sure.

Answer:	These pans are Aluminum!! Sadly the marketing is extremely misleading. The pan is actually Aluminum with a steel plate embedded in the base so they'll work with induction stoves. You can easily confirm this with a magnet. The magnet won't stick to sides of the pan. "Titanium" is a marketing name that refers to the non-stick coating.

Answer:	It is, but the FAQ in the Sistema website has long abandoned the claim that the polypropylene material (as indicated by the "5" code in the recycling triangle icon and the "PP" label, both at the bottom of the container) is free from Bisphenol S, which has a chemical structure almost identical to BPA and is also a strong endocrine disruptor.
Question:	How easy is it to open and close this pressure cooker
Answer:	I'm going just slightly over 2 to 1, water to brown rice. So, for 1 cup brown rice I add 2 1/4 cups water, 2 cups brown rice, 4 1/2 cups water. Cooking time varies depending on quantity of rice I'm cooking. In my microwave (Panasonic 1200 watts), for 1 cup of brown rice it takes approx 14 - 15 minutes. if your microwave is less watts, ie, 950 watts, you'll need a few more minutes than me. It's ok to take the Sistema out of the microwave and check on the rice to see how it's doing. You're only taking the cover off for as long as it takes to check the rice - watch out for the hot steam ...). Take it out at 12 - 13 minutes (if you have a similar power microwave to mine), see where it's at and put it back for 2 more minutes, repeat until done. Once you have your timing down, you're good to go for every time you make brown rice without needing to do this 2 minute check thing. I keep a piece of paper with my spice box on which i mark down what I've done for different grains, to keep track of what worked. I also often make quinoa in the Sistema and it runs about the same cooking time as brown rice. And lastly, for best results let the Sistema stand for 3 - 4 minutes, with the cover on, after you take it out of the microwave. Don't know the reason why but you get a better, fluffier brown rice - quinoa.

Also, the longer eggs sit in the package, the less centered the yolk will be. If you are using farm fresh eggs, piercing the yolk with the enclosed pin will be less predictable. When I use fresh eggs, I use a hat pin to pierce them just to be on the safe side. Store-bought eggs are usually about three weeks old so the yolk is closer to the shell and can be easily pierced according to the directions.

Answer:	Haven't used a microwave "pressure cooker" but they are less pressurized than a real pressure cooker so they do not get as hot inside nor cook as fast. So it would be quicker than a dish with a lid but not pressure cooker fast. Nordic Wave Tender cooker is more expensive but may be worth it. A 3 lb roast cooks in 30 min + 15 min cool down time.

Answer:	I don't know. I have a 1100w microwave and it fits fine. But throw the recipe book away. You can not pressure cook anything over 12 minutes on high. What you do is take it out after the first 12 minutes let it relieve the pressure. Stir it taste it season it and put it back in for another 12 minutes. continue this until your meal is done. I use to cook white beans all day. Now it takes only one hour. The reason why not to go over 12 minutes in the microwave is because the microwave will melt down. My microwave can not take high temperature over 20 minutes. Also when you pull the pot out make sure you leave the microwave door open so it can cool down before the next 12 minutes. I love this pot you can reheat anything in it at low temperature. Also when I'm finish with my beans I put the pot into the frig no need for a clean pot unless I'm cooking something else.

Answer:	This is not a portable electric heater, it is designed to be permanently installed and comes with no wires. I bought the thermostat they recommend and installed it. You could wire a chord to it and plug it into a wall outlet if you buy the 120 Volt model. Be careful some require 240 volt power, just make sure you buy the right one.

For soft eggs, cook for 5 minutes (1000 watts), 6 minutes (800 watts), and 7 minutes (600 watts). for medium egg hardness, cook for 6 minutes (1000 watts), 7 minutes (800 watts), and 8 minutes (600 watts). for hard eggs, cook for 8 minutes (1000 watts), 9 minutes (800 watts), and 10 minutes (600 watts).

3. Allow boiler to cool 2 minutes before removing lid. Run cold water over eggs to stop further cooking.

Question:	I cooked my eggs on high for 8 min using a 1250 w microwave and they were only soft boiled!! The top does not make a snap sound. Is it defective
Answer:	My micro is 1000 w & at 8 min my eggs exploded. There was still water in the bottom well but the eggs simply exploded blowing off the lid & eggs went everywhere. The yolks that I could find intact all seemed to be fully cooked; but I also has grain sized yolk all over the inside of my micro. Haven't used it since.

Question:	Can someone give me the height of the thing with the lid on? The Nordic Ware site says the width is 8", but I suspect that is the height. Thanks
Answer:	8",is the height with the lid on, 16" is the measurement around the egg. This egg is large. If you can imagine an ostrich egg, it looks just like one. I was amazed at its size.
Question:	I lost my directions. Could someone supply them
Answer:	the directions are meaningless, I have an 1100 watt microwave and must cook the eggs for 12 minutes just to get medium boiled, haven't tried hard boiled. Do not follow the directions, experimentation is key.
