Answer:	By or borrow a book on dehydrators. I am just starting out so I only have experience with apples and bananas so far. Many fruits require that you spray them first with Lemon Juice and water. I have made Beef Jerky a couple of times with success. I just marinate it ("Baby Rays" and a touch of booze) . I just throw the strips on, crank it up to max and keep an eyeball on it.. If doing multiple trays, I switch bottom to top as the jerky stiffens so the bottom won;t get overcooked.

I put some charcoal in then separate a fire starter in a few pieces, put them in add more charcoal then a few more pieces, and then stick a few pieces around the top. Lighting them as I go. You will have a perfect fire in about 20-25 minutes. empty the chimney into the BBQ spread them around add the grill top and put on the steaks!!

Answer:	I slice organic chicken breast and put a slice of banana, my dog loves it. Chicken hearts, $160, about 80 pieces, nice treat and cheap!!!! I was in petco and baught a dried chicken foot for a dollar so I baught a package of chicken feet at the grocery store for $1.79 and got 27 feet, I brush honey on them and my dog loves them. Answer:	This dehydrator only goes to 160 °F. USDA says poultry needs to be taken to 165 °F to kill the bacteria. From USDA"Why is it a food safety concern to dry meat without first heating it to 160 °F? The danger in dehydrating meat and poultry without cooking it to a safe temperature first is that the appliance will not heat the meat to 160 °F and poultry to 165 °F — temperatures at which bacteria are destroyed — before the dehydrating process. After drying, bacteria become much more heat resistant."

1. During the process of food dehydration, press any button on the control panel, and the light will be on. When not in use, the light will be automatically off after 5 minutes.

2. Press the ‘START/STOP’ button during the process of food dehydration and the food dehydrator will stop working.

3. The top tray that has a notch can only fit the top position of the food dehydrator.

4. Do not touch the metal tray with your hands to avoid burns during the process of food dehydration.

Question:	How do you change temperature display to Fahrenheit
Answer:	You don’t. There is a conversion table printed on the top right corner. There is no other way to convert the actual “reading” that is displayed. It does help to obtain a recipe book that lists temps for lots of fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats etc. Then use that recommended temperature setting and look at the table on the dehydrator.
