Step One

Remove handle portion of the Bagel Guillotine from the base by grasping the top of the handle with one hand and holding the base with the other hand.

Step Two

Place the bagel the base. Then position the handle directly over the base, with the blade pointing downwards. The handle will 'sleeve' over the base. Push straight down until the handle portion meets the base.

Step Three

Holding the bottle of the base with one hand, life the handle portion up. Then remove your perfectly sliced bagel. If the bagel sticks, use a utensil to push down of the bagel to lose it.

Answer:	It depends on how filled your cushions are. When I bought this I had a three cushion sofa and it was no problem but my cushions were not overly fluffy. The cover does stretch but I could see how it would be a problem with bigger overstuffed cushions. On another note I would not buy this if you have pets. Its difficult to remove pet hair from because of the textured surface and machine washing doesn't help much.

Answer:	The top is adjustable. We used it to spread salt in the winter. You can adjust the size of the opening to small enough for sand without dumping a lot at once

Answer:	Yes it can, although I don't think it would be leak-proof if you are storing liquids and turned it over. The lid adjusts nicely to allow just a little up to a lot. I'm pretty happy with it.

I’m happy with how fast it detects motion and comes on and that it goes off. A few minutes after there is no motion. Was easy to install, but I’m pretty good with electrical wiring.

Answer:	Ths is hardwired into 115 volts and I don't know what the internal circuitry runs at but it would be quite a challenge to switch it to 5 volts! Very bright. I actually used a small flat black panel to tone it down for our situation.
