Question:	Is it possible to make only half a cup of dry rice in this or do you need to put at least 1 cup in for it to function properly
Answer:	Maybe. Since the ratio of brown rice to water is about 1 cup rice: 2 cup water the volume of pot is maxed out prior to cooking. Water and brown rice is full to the top. If you cook more than 1 cup brown rice you should get a larger capacity cooker. The measuring cup supplied with the cooker is 6 ounces full, rather than standard US 8 ounce cup of measurement.

Answer:	The insert measures 6" across by 2 1/2 deep, Total dimensions of the cooker is 8 1/2 tall by 5 1/2 across. This is a mini rice cooker enough for 2 cups of rice for two. I like it because I do not have any left over rice.

Answer:	Sticky mess? You must rinse the dry rice in water, until the water is clear. This removes the starchy powder which causes your cooked rice problem. —Buy the correct type of rice for your needs. Be aware of the labels on the packaging. Medium grain rice is ‘sticky rice’ like in sushi. Long grain rice is the soft fluffy kind.

Question:	Can it cook brown rice
Answer:	The vegetable tray is 6.5" diameter and 1.75" deep. I don't know how big baby carrot bags are.

Answer:	I have this rice cooker and what always works for me is unplugging it as soon as it is done and letting it sit for about 10 minutes, letting it cool off a bit, it comes out clean without using any oil, grease, or butter. I find that if I try to take it out right away the rice has extra moisture on it and sticks to the pot and if it is still warming it will start to burn the rice so unplugging it is best. I do rise the rice once before putting it in just to rinse off any residue. For jasmine rice 1 1/4 cup water for 1 cup of rice, for brown rice 2 1/4 cups of water for 1 cup of rice.
Question:	No matter what i do (trying different amounts of water) i end up with a sticky mess. i live in colorado, could that be the problem

Answer:	U.S 120 volt plug only. If you what to use in UK used the plug adapter it will burn out the unit. You do need the step down transformer from 240v to 120v with 5 amp. Search Amazon I find this "BESTEK Universal Travel Adapter 220V to 110V Voltage Converter with 6A 4-Port USB Charging and UK/AU/US/EU Worldwide Plug ". I am not working for Bestek just try to help.

Answer:	Had since 2016, and 1 small scratch on bottom, but the rim is more scratched. Not sure how that happened as we normally also are careful in what we use to wash and use rice scrapper.

Answer:	No, but you can connect it to a timer. Briefly turn on the power, press one of the rice cooking buttons, and turn the power off again. When your timer turns on the power again, the rice will cook as expected.

Question:	Does the lid lock while the food is cooking, or can you add new ingredients/spices halfway through
Answer:	You do not want the lid to be removable because that would require an extra (third) hand for operating the devise; and a clean and safe place to set down a removed lid. It is sufficient for the pot alone (and steamer tray) to be removable.
Question:	Can you cook noodles in it
Answer:	I have the 8-cup one and the brown rice setting cooks quinoa perfectly! You have to soak it first (minimum 6 hours) but it comes out fully cooked, light and fluffy! I just purchased the larger 20-cup cooker (the 8-cup doesn't hold enough veggies for me) and am sure the brown rice setting on the larger cooker will make quinoa perfectly as well.
