Question:	Does rice stick on the bottom
Answer:	Brown rice has thick outer layer. If you cook it with the same amount of time as white rice, it wouldn't cook through. If you cook it long enough to soften the outer layer i.e. with more water, you end up with gooey inside rice. The best way to cook brown rice is to soak it at least four hours before cooking. I soak it over night. It should come out fine. Good luck!

Answer:	The slow cooker function is high and runs around 165+ F. The "keep warm" function is low and is 145ish F degrees.

Answer:	Hi Judy - Yes this does have a beeper. When the rice is done it beeps on and off for about 5-6 seconds and automatically switches to keep warm. Once you're done you can press the power button and it toggles off so no need to unplug.

Answer:	You do not want the lid to be removable because that would require an extra (third) hand for operating the devise; and a clean and safe place to set down a removed lid. It is sufficient for the pot alone (and steamer tray) to be removable.

Answer:	I have the 8-cup one and the brown rice setting cooks quinoa perfectly! You have to soak it first (minimum 6 hours) but it comes out fully cooked, light and fluffy! I just purchased the larger 20-cup cooker (the 8-cup doesn't hold enough veggies for me) and am sure the brown rice setting on the larger cooker will make quinoa perfectly as well.

On the 20-cup cooker, there is a button release, which allows the cooker to be locked while cooking, but can be released when the button is closed. It does not stay locked like say, a pressure cooker. You should be able to add spices half way through the cooking cycle.

Answer:	I'm not sure, but it seemed hot enough to me. Most of the travel irons are around 800watts, but I have seen a few with only 600. Water turns to steam at 212 degrees, so I don't know that having a hotter iron makes much of a difference since this iron only holds 1/4 cup of water. It would produce steam within a second or two if the iron was already hot.
