Answer:	The timer lower dial can be rotated clockwise for timer function. In addition, you can turn the oven on by rotating it left, counterclockwise to about 10:00 where it will click in place and the power on light lit. In this mode no timer is activated so watch the time so you do not overcook your food. Hope this helps

Easy-to-Use Control Panel

The benefits of the CVR-1000 vertical rotisserie start with its handy control panel, which lets you get started without having to stress about it. Answer:	I've used mine for about 2 1/2 years 2 or 3 times a week. My backsplash is just 1980s style formica and I have it pushed back to the stops on the oven. I pull it out once a week to clean and have not seen any damage. I assume it can get hot just keep an eye on it until you figure it out. Also I never depend on the temp being what it's set on, most things I fry or bake are at 225 to 300 degrees and have developed quite good skills on this thing

Answer:	There is about 9.5 inches between the feet. The entire oven front to back is about 15 inches, so it would fit on a 16 inch shelf. Hope that helps. I love mine. It is a great little over and very easy to use. It does stick out a little in the back so you would need 2 or 3 inch clearance.

Answer:	This IS an air fryer! The words air fryer just mean EXTRA HOT heat and a fan. Thats it. It’s an extra hot convection oven it requires no pre-heating. Cuisinart Chef’s is an “oven style” air fryer (bigger, holds lots of food, has shelves) versus the “bucket style” air fryer (compact size, doesn’t hold much food, you can only to cook one food item at a time). Chef’s IS an air fryer - but the words “air fryer” were not invented when they started marketing it, which is the sole reason the word “air fryer” is not included in it’s name. This is the absolute best appliance I’ve ever purchased. If you read Cooks Illustrated reviews, Wire cutter reviews, and most other reviews etc. you will find that it is fantastic. It maintains a perfectly consistent temperature. It heats up in no time. It cooks food in no time. It holds two shelves full of food - two 9x12” pans. You can prepare an entire meal of meat, vegetables, potatoes at the same time - in 20 min. It has completely changed how I prepare meals. Quick, easy, healthy, fantastic. Answer:	For those of us that understand physics, wood conducts and dissipates heat easily, so keeping this on a wooden table or in a wooden cabinet is absolutely and completely safe. The ignition temp of Wood is around 500 to 650 degrees farenheit. If you have the temp on the oven set to 450, the metal around it will reduce that temp, so unless you have it set to around 700 degrees or so, your cabinets and house are safe.

Question:	what is the outside masurements of the oven
Answer:	Amazon comparison lists the dimensions as 17.00" x 11.74" x 8.35". I would also like to know the dimensions!
Question:	How fast does it toast
Answer:	For toast I let this toaster oven preheat for a minute on the toast setting. I then toast on one side for a minute and turn the toast over and give it another 1 to 1/2 minutes depending on the characteristics of the bread. The result to me is perfect. Far better results than in any of the toasters I've used and that includes the expensive Breville's.
Question:	I own one and one of the lower heating rods has warped upwards and the outer "casing" has even broken through. Has anyone else had this problem
Answer:	I don't know how long we own ours, but it feels like a long time (years) and we're having the same problem with the heating rod & outer casing. It looks like it's going to catch on fire any minute. Also. it has become increasingly difficult to open the crumb catcher drawer that's supposed to pull open. I was going to order another Cuisinart from Amazon, but first I decided to read the comments. Boy! So many similar negative comments. Answer:	No there isn't. There is a thermal switch which turns off the elements before the toast is done when you try to toast two consecutive slices of bread. A very bad idea.

Answer:	It does get very warm. I have it next to other items and so far no trouble.

Answer:	No. So you have to ask Alexa to set timer or set it on your oven. I think it's crazy to have a toaster oven for baking with no way to turn it off without setting a timer that isn't on the oven. If you forget to set a timer and get involved in something else and the stove stays on, it seems easy that someone could burn their house down.

Answer:	Wide 15" There is 2 small lips that come out on the bottom about 1/4" / Depth 12" + 2" for handle / Tall 9". I really like the features of the oven, however the tray for baking is not easy to clean. Every other parts are very easy to keep clean. (you are right the dimensions listed do not match the actual size) I find it just right for what I want.
