Answer:	Are you using a larger Bowl on your ksm90? I cannot get this beater 2 work it is too large and bowl is not deep enough.. Answer:	I have both the flex edge and the sideswipe beaters - i love them both - and use them for different batter types. I use the flex edge for "thinner" batters like brownie and cake mixes. I use the sideswipe for thicker or chunky batters - like oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip cookies.

Answer:	To me it depends on what you are mixing. i like the original beater for some thing and the flex edge for others. For example if im mixing dry or adding powdered sugar in the mixer I perfer the original. The flex edge beater tends to make a mess if you are not careful and you end up with sugar all on your working surface.

Answer:	This blade is for a 4.5/5 quart mixer. As one other person said perhaps the blade needs raising. I have a 4.5 and no problem with this. The instruction manual states how to raise the height of the beater.

Question:	How wide is the mixer part
Answer:	Yes, you have to hold the button while mixing. You might be able to mix pancake mix but honestly you would want to probably use a full sized mixer for foods. This hand mixer is probably meant more for drinks and very small mix jobs.

Answer:	There is one attachment that fits in the Testors 1/4 oz. bottle, I personally have not used it in the Testors but I don't see why it wouldn't work. The mixer itself is great.
Question:	How long is the shaft
Answer:	That's what I use it for. I use the all metal blade. It works fine for that. I make my tea in a large mug so it's about 1 1/2 cups of liquid. I mix in butter, coconut oil, and cream. Because of the amount of liquid, I do have to raise and lower the mixer repeatedly or it sort of gets slowed down at the deepest level. So it isn't a very powerful mixer but it does work for this one thing. I had hoped to be able to use it for more but it really can't deal with anything thicker than water, tea, and coffee. It will just barely whip a couple of tablespoons of cream in a small cup. I would like to find one that has more power but this works for my BPTea.

Answer:	i am not sure but a full load of bread (6 cups) and the dough for 16 lbs of fruit cake (pound butter, 24 eggs, pound and a half of sugar) I can made everything i want. So pleased with my less expensive replacement mixer.

The wisk may be stainless steel but the bread dough hook and the flat beater are burnished aluminum. As far as I could tell you can only get the stainless steel one separate or with the higher end models.

Answer:	It can easily handle up to 2 kg of dough. (1 kg of dough = 500g flour + 300g sourdough starter + 200g water).I would say 3kg of dough is still OK but 4kg is really pushing it.

Answer:	Height is 14 inches as has been stated previously. However when the head is tilted back it measures 17.5 inches at the highest point. I really love this mixer the more I use it which is frequently.

Answer:	I usually use mine to mix cookie dough or batter for pastries. I mixed a cinnamon roll type dough with it, and there were no problems. I like mine very much - and pleased with the overall quality. I'm not a professional baker, so I didn't think a $300 stand mixer was worth my time...which is why this appealed to me. I don't like the pouring shield though - it got in the way, so I just removed it.

Answer:	I keep a kosher kitchen and, therefore, I have both this mixer and a KitchenAid. I think I have a professional KitchenAid, which has a 6-quart bowl. The main difference between these two mixers is the size of the bowl. I haven’t purchased any other bowls for this mixer. However, I assume you don’t bake for 12-20 people, as I sometimes do. But honestly, I’ve never needed to use more volume with this particular mixer. So I have no complaints with this mixer. Actually, I find that this mixer is better designed when it comes to attaching or removing the bowl. Putting a bowl in a KitchenAid involves using a flat hook on the bowl, with a corresponding strip of metal attached to the stand with a screw. After a certain amount of using, I have to move the strip of metal back into its proper place and tighten the screw. This Hamilton Beach bowl simply twists into (and out of) the base. In this case, simpler is much better.
