While it is true that this mixer sounds slow, it whips cream in 60 seconds flat, whereas any other mixer I have had takes 5 - 8 minutes of beating to get whipped cream into peaks. It also handles cookie dough, cake dough, etc. It is by far the best hand mixer I have ever had. I am 72 and have had quite a few of them through the years. |

| Answer: | For this model, the KA rep is wrong. Watts = volts x amps. That's .6 x 120 = 72. The amps are printed on the heel of the mixer. KA likes to claim their DC motors are more efficient, but that does not affect the wattage - even if it were true. There is a reason KA doesn't post the wattage on their box: they are low in power. By the same token, they are light weight and have a true slow start. It just takes longer to whip the potatoes. (The newest KA 7 & 9 speed mixers have .9 amps which gives 108 watts.) The 5-speed does just fine whipping cream, especially with the whisk (sold separately) . |

Depending on your needs these three differences may or may not lead you to the fourth difference which is price.If your not into large scale baking as you stated, I would recommend the KSM155GBCA. You can also get a stainless bowl for the KSM155 and keep the glass bowl, you don't have that option with the KP26. If your not doing large scale baking as you say, your choosing a less expensive mixer with plenty of power that looks great vs a more expensive mixer with power you will probably never fully need or use. |

| Answer: | I know this is an old question. But just in case anyone else wants to know, yes it is adjustable. When you lift the top back, like you would do to remove or insert the bowl, there is a flat head screw that is visible. If you want the mixer to reach lower into the bowl you turn the screw clockwise (to the right) if you want to lift it turn it counterclockwise (to the left). I would move the screw 1/4 or 1/2 the way around the circle at a time so that you can test it out to make sure you don't move it down too low. If you do just turn the screw back a little and it'll move it back up so you can get it in the right position. |

| Answer: | If you go to the KitchenAid websites (like EVERY THING KITCHENS) it will tell you that it's the bowls coating to make it shiny . You are supposed to either use salt or baking soda with lemon juice or vinegar. Basically a food safe abrasive cleaner with food safe acidity before 1st use. Said grey would not harm you. |

| Answer: | Any mixer that is american 120v will work in Europe. Most military have this problem. You need a transformer 220 volts to 110 volts. You must make sure it will take the watts. Most kitchenaid mixers are 350 watt or less. So a good 600 watt transformer will work no problem. Do not but those little adapters they will burn up. A 600 watt transformer weighs about 15 to 18 pounds. They have heavy copper windings inside. They will have a 220/240 plug on one side of the box and American outlet with an on/off switch and sometimes a fuse or circuit breaker. I ran these transformers for years in Naples Italy. |

| Answer: | I have a older version of the mixer (I believe - looks the same, my model # is K45SS, is about 20 years old, and it is 250 Watts). It will handle almost anything. The only thing it has sort of labored over is REALLY THICK granola that I make with grains, nuts, seeds, and almond butter as the only liquid. It will stand up and salute (the granola mixture, I mean, prior to baking)! I fill up the Kitchen Aid stainless steel bowl till almost overflowing and the mixer goes to town (well, slowly). I make my bread in a bread machine, but the mixer would have no trouble with any dough I've ever handled. Hope this is hlepful. And I wish I could spell. I mean helpful. |

With Singapore (East) and US (west, Voltage from outlets in the wall are different. It's 110 and 220 V. Forget which is which, but you will need a transformer. And to others who are being sarcastic and nasty; shame on U! Can't say you are grown ups if you act like middle school kids. |
