The second one i ordered looked right, but didn't have the lock in tabs needed to keep them in place. May just buy a new mixer.

Answer:	Honestly, I’m sure I have used it for more than a minute and mine still works fine and doesn’t smell like it’s burning, but wash the metal attachments before the first use because the mixer is going to have that new box smell (It doesn’t effect what your mixing). Other than that, the speeds are really fast, so unless you’re making a whip, don’t run it more than a minute for THAT REASON :)

Answer:	Warning: I bought the 5-speed mixer, and the ad states you are getting the heavy duty Turbo Beaters II. This is not the case. It only comes with the standard light duty Turbo Beaters, and I had to purchase the heavy duty beaters (model KHMTB2) separately for about $25 more. Well worth it though.

Answer:	After reading the answers below from other customers, I must make a rebuttal. While it is true that this mixer sounds slow, it whips cream in 60 seconds flat, whereas any other mixer I have had takes 5 - 8 minutes of beating to get whipped cream into peaks. It also handles cookie dough, cake dough, etc. It is by far the best hand mixer I have ever had. I am 72 and have had quite a few of them through the years.
Question:	what is the wattage on your mixer
Answer:	For this model, the KA rep is wrong. Watts = volts x amps. That's .6 x 120 = 72. The amps are printed on the heel of the mixer. KA likes to claim their DC motors are more efficient, but that does not affect the wattage - even if it were true. There is a reason KA doesn't post the wattage on their box: they are low in power. By the same token, they are light weight and have a true slow start. It just takes longer to whip the potatoes. (The newest KA 7 & 9 speed mixers have .9 amps which gives 108 watts.) The 5-speed does just fine whipping cream, especially with the whisk (sold separately) .

Question:	Is the attachement dishwasher safe
Answer:	This machine is no longer made, and there is little information on it, as you probably already know. So, that being said, here are teh measurements of the 600RC 10-cup thermal. Compare them to the space in the machine you have or to the old carafe if you still have it. By the looks of it, it will fit, but check these dimensions first. Lid is 4.5" in Diameter. Base of carafe (widest at the bottom but not including handle) is 6" diameter. The height is 6 3/4" to the tip of the small dome on the lid or 6 3/8" to top of carafe without the lid on it. The lid on height is the most important though, as this is what presses up against the coffee receptacle/filter holder spring to make the coffee flow to the carafe. So as long as it is the right height and can fit in the opening, it should work. Hope this helps!
Question:	Where does the cord store at
Answer:	My first thought was "no" because the DCC-1200 has a hot plate surface the glass carafe rests on and this is thermal so its intended coffee maker does not have a heated surface. However, there are many reviewers out there that have used this carafe successfully in their DCC-1200 coffee maker. Just make sure you don't over fill! This carafe only holds 10 cups, not the 12 cups the DCC-1200 makes! Best to fill the water tank with the carafe, so you can't overfill by mistake.

Wash off the immersion blender, stick a straw right in the beaker, and BOOM! Smoothie heaven with minimal dishes.

Answer:	I think this is poorly designed. Mine died and I replaced it with a completely different stick blender, a Hamilton Beach. Very happy with it.

Answer:	The lid is on a hinge. It just presses shut. It is a very nice carafe.
Question:	I want to use this mixer to make bread. However, one of my friend tells me that this mixer only work for high volume dough . Is it true
Answer:	No, it does not normally drip. It does on occasion if I'm not pouring carefully, but it's really pretty good in that respect. The seal is not as tight has a screw top seal would be, but it is very convenient. And I like the fact that the coffee touches only stainless steel and the small bit of silicone or whatever used for the seal.
