Answer:	Very well, only problem so far has been when a large batch was too dry.

Answer:	Absolutely not! If you are outside the USA or Canada, you will need to buy a 220/240-Volt adapter or you will burn up the machine.
Question:	is it noisy
Answer:	No, I do not think it is noisy. Obviously, you can hear it mixing the ingredients but it is not disturbing and the ones I've had before were much louder. There are beeping signals for different stages, but I would have liked them to be louder so they could be heard in other rooms of the home. I don't feel there's enough noise to bother anyone, even if you turn it on before bedtime. I hope this helps.

Answer:	It is not high at all. I'm it's probabtion officer and I just gave it it's weekly drug test and it's totally clean. If you want to know how tall it is and/or it's overall dimensions then it is approx 12" x 9" x 14" deep.
Question:	Are these things really worth having
Answer:	I was asking this for 3-4 years before I bit the bullet and bought this one. This machine really is *excellent* - and it really does do everything save assemble the ingredients, which takes 5 minutes once you have a recipe you like. It saves me hours shopping for low-salt bread - I can make a loaf in an evening (takes around 3 hours). The basic wholewheat recipe with this machine is really good, especially if you add some mixed sunflower/poppy/etc. seeds for texture. If you just want a quick loaf, try Bob's Red Mill 10-grain bread mix available from Amazon - it's tasty, cheaper than a store-bought loaf (if you buy a pack of 4) -- although once you have tried 4-5 loaves, mixing your own is easy. Then you can relax for 3 hours while the machine does all the work. The only (slight) downside is that it is a lot of work to make rolls - you have to take the dough out, shape it, then leave it to rise. But this is so much easier & better than I had hoped, that's a small thing ...

Answer:	I think there is, but i have never made raisin bread, or had to add anything.I don't really like this breadmaker much. I bought it at a yard sale for $5.00 and it was only used once or twice so was like brand new. I don't really like the consistency of the bread as it does not rise long enough.

Answer:	The plate on the bottom of the unit lists the watts as 550 with 110 current. Hope this helps. We have had our unit for about six weeks and are very pleased with its performance.

Answer:	It does! Our bread machine arrived 2 days ago. I took a pic of the GF multigrain recipe, left my daughter to read through the instructions, and dashed to the store to get ingredients. Three hours later, we were enjoying warm bread. Perfect GF loaf - absolutely the first time we've ever used a bread machine. Total time for a std 2 lb loaf of whole wheat is 4 hrs, 10 mins. The GF setting reduces time to 2 hrs, 15 mins so dough will not be overmixed or over kneaded.

Question:	Hi, Again. I am trying to decide between the Virtuoso and the Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme 2-Pound-Loaf Breadmaker. This one is slightly smaller
Answer:	I settled for the Home Bakery basically because the Virtruso was out of stock (probably from CoVid back order mess). My brother/in-law has the Virtruso and I must say, there isn’t hardly any difference with the motor, paddles, and overall functionality. There are many pre-programmed settings on the Virtuoso but nothing that justifies the significant price difference. If you want basic bread recipes and basic bread machine functions, save your money and stick with the Home Bakery Supreme. The Virtruso has @bellds and whistles” most people would never use. Just my opinion... I love my Zojirushi! I also own the mini-bakery 1 lb. loaf machine and it is great for short and quick order 1 lb. loaves! I love the compactness of this little machine. Question:	Is it difficult to avoid getting the yeast wet? I'm considering upgrading to this from my Panasonic SD-YD250, which has a convenient yeast dispenser
Answer:	I bought my Zojirushi in March of 2010. I make one to two loaves of bread a day -lots of bread. When I first started making bread 10 years ago in this machine, the bread failed more often than not. When I changed the order of adding ingredients, I rarely have failed bread; if it fails it's because someone has opened the machine during the baking cycle. I found the question of keeping the yeast dry 'if it was a problem' interesting. Here's why -It was a problem WHEN I was trying to keep yeast dry. Now, I add the water, sprinkle the yeast across the water, add flour, then add the rest of the ingredients on top of the flour in the corners. 10 years of making bread this way is surely a success. This bread maker has been the best. As of recent, I need to replace the paddles as the nonstick coating is gone.
Question:	I'd like to hear from anyone with experience making artisanal style breads - e.g., baguettes, Italian breads, other long-rise breads
Answer:	It's great for that. There are three programmable home made bread settings with rise times up to 13 hours. There are breads where I'll use two or three, setting a timer to go off when it's time to go to the next program. Right now I'm making olive oil-saffron ciabatta. I had it keep the saffron water warm for a half hour, then added the rest of the ingredients, and pushed the button for the kneading and rising times I had programmed.

Answer:	Yes it has a "Gluten Free" Setting. I have made several Gluten Free loves and they came out perfect. Pages 20, 21, 22, and 23 of the Users Manual contain an entire Chapter on "Gluten Free Course" including Gluten Free Recipes for Brown Rice Bread, Soymilk Bread, Cafe Au Lait Bread, Italian Herb Bread, Flaxseed Bread, Cornmeal Bread, Raisin Bread, Walnut Bread, Chocolate Bread and Apple Oat Bread. Question:	does this leave a hole in the bottom of the loaf, or does the blade retract befor baking
Answer:	If you use the machine for baking, then yes, it does leave a hole in the bread. As this machine bakes a small loaf of bread and if baked in the machine, it has a hole in the bottom and is shaped similar to a chimney, I prefer to let the machine do everything other than bake the bread. After it is done mixing the ingredients, I take the dough out, shape it and bake it myself in the oven, just because of the aesthetics. The taste is wonderful no matter which way you decide to do it.
Question:	Anyone have problems with over baked crust
Answer:	We have only had our Mini Zo for 2 days. Baked 3 loaves yesterday. First loaf on "basic" and "regular" settings. Interior of loaf was very light and fluffy, but crust extremely crispy (making it very difficult to slice). Second loaf was the cheese and onion basic with light crust, to which was added 1 1/2 Tbsp drained, chopped, pickled jalapeños.. Cheese, onions and jalapeños were thrown all over, even outside of the bread pan, crust was VERY dark, and when sliced all of the add-ins were at the bottom 1/3 of the loaf, a terrible job of mixing! 3rd loaf was Yorkshire Spice Bread from "Quick and Delicious Bread Machine Recipes" by Norman Garrett, settings were "soft" with "light crust". Turned out quite well, except for the VERY dark crust. I wanted to be able to, at least occasionally 'set and forget' this machine for overnight baking of basic loaves, so setting a timer to remove the loaf early is not a practical solution for me. I am amazed at all the wonderful reviews for this machine (I absolutely did my research) when it cannot seem to produce a loaf with a decent crust, and am so disappointed in it that I hope Amazon will accept its return.
Question:	trying to decide between the mini and the regular Zo, I'd like to use this machine to also rise dough- do you think it's big enough
Answer:	It depends on the recipe. I bought the book "bread machine magic" as it has all recipes for small medium or large and I use all the small recipes which include dough recipes. I once tried a kolache recipe that was definitely either a 1 1/2 to 2 pound recipe on the dough cycle and it definitely had trouble kneading it and I had to transfer it in my kitchen aid mixer for the first 20 minute kneading cycle then I put it back in the zo as it does have the temp control for rising. Then it did not have any trouble kneading the second time because the dough was pliable at that point. You also cannot program so if you were to knead the dough then place it in the machine you have to let the machine run its course but there is a timed chart so you know about when everything happens. Anyway, if you stick with 1 pound recipes you pretty much will be able to make any kind of dough.
Question:	I have problems slicing the bread, anyone have suggestions
Answer:	Buy a great bread knife; it makes all the difference. I bought the Tojiro Bread Slicer 235mm F-737. It slices cleanly and easily through just about anything, warm or cold, hard crust or soft. I tried using a bread slicing guide, but just a little practice with my Tojiro knife produces as good or better results, and I never use the guide anymore.

Answer:	The removable blade assembly is made of an aluminum base product. That can oxidize if it's allowed to sit in water very long dishwashers are a big no no. If it has gotten oxidized and is now Gray or black you can buy the housing that is cone shaped, the knife and shaft slide into this housing, it comes with a new gasket and costs about $29. Or you can remove the knives out of that housing and Polish it Using steel wall it will remove all the oxidization but it takes some serious elbow grease. Bob

Answer:	If you have an older Bosch universal, the "cover" that can be placed over the drive for the blender, will also act as a wrench to remove the blender blades. However, the reason that I bought a new blender was that the blades had "frozen" and were not functioning anymore, but this was after many years - about 15 - of very satisfactory use.
