Answer:	I've used mine for about 2 1/2 years 2 or 3 times a week. My backsplash is just 1980s style formica and I have it pushed back to the stops on the oven. I pull it out once a week to clean and have not seen any damage. I assume it can get hot just keep an eye on it until you figure it out. Also I never depend on the temp being what it's set on, most things I fry or bake are at 225 to 300 degrees and have developed quite good skills on this thing

Answer:	Yes, by turning the dial. It’s not the same as a keypad, but I haven’t had a single problem getting it to the appropriate cook time.

Answer:	Yes, I believe it’s counter top only. It has the usual cord (about 24” to 30” long) to plug in and nothing in the instructions mention mounting it on the wall.
