Answer:	The tank, and the basket seem to do well in the dishwasher. I have not placed the lid in the dishwasher because it seems to do well with just wiping with warm soapy water. DO not use the lid during cooking! This is a deep fryer and any use of a lid may introduce water from steam to the oil causing a boil over of oil.

Answer:	5000 watts = 41.6 amps. Since there are two separate heating elements, that would be 20.8 amps per side. Most home outlets are rated at 15 amps and a dedicated microwave outlet is 20 amps. Something has to give here. If you plugged it in to an ordinary outlet, it should trip the breaker every time. That is unless this unit is not really 5000 watts. Simple mathematics.

Question:	where to get extra oil filters for Secura 4.2L/17 cup
Answer:	The fryer does not come with any oil filters. I comes with one set of installed carbon filters and also one extra set so that when you have the lid on, all vapors pass through the carbon and really helps with any smell in the kitchen. I purchased the oil filter that Amazon usually shows that would be a good accessory for the fryer. It does let small particles pass through but so far they have not affected anything. The next time I see a restaurant supply store I think I will check out their filters. The one that Amazon recommends is certainly better than nothing and only costs around $10.

Answer:	Not that I remember. I have used a fryer before, so I would likely have tossed it if it did. Pretty simple operation. Fill with oil to max fill line, plug it in, turn heat to highest setting, turn timer on, allow to heat up, lower food into oil and put the lid on. Check food every few minutes to see if done.

Answer:	No it's made in China and it's pure junk. Arrived in a pristine package but the welds were broken and it was bent out of shape (damage was not done in shipping it was packed damaged). Used it a few times and then threw it away.

Answer:	I returned the item so I never took items from the package. It was the wrong size.

Answer:	Don't leave it on for a long time, put the cover on when not in use, I wear glasses when frying. Hot grease in the eyes would be bad, blindness would be the result.
Question:	How can a 2500w appliance work on 110v outlet without tripping the breaker
Answer:	From what I read it’s only 2000W and unless you live in Europe or something you outlets have between 116-125v. Typically it’s about 118 on one phase and like 123 on the other phase. This unit at full power it using about 16amps. Kitchen and dining room outlets supposed to be wired for 20A to be up to Code. So unless you plan on using it in your bedroom you will be just fine.

Question:	Is it easy to clean
Answer:	Yes it is very easy to clean. The reservoir alone with the heating element lifts out of the unit, that makes it a snape clean.
Question:	The oil filter it self, does it need to be replaced or cleaned
Answer:	The filter is a built in wire mesh type and doesn't need to be replaced as far as I can tell. The only part that may need to be replaced at some point is the rubber seal around it. Hope that helps. I've been using mine for a few months and absolutely love it. The best part of this fryer is the filter system and how you can drain your oil and store it in the plastic container until you need it again. It makes for cleaning and replacing the oil a breeze.
Question:	Can you leave the plastic oil container in while frying
Answer:	Yes - The 'fry" switch keeps the hot oil separated from the plastic oil storage container while frying. Once the oil has cooled, the switch is turned to drain and it flows into the storage container.
Question:	How many oil re-use cycles is recommended? I know there comes a time when the oil goes bad, gets overloaded with flavors from previous cookings, etc
Answer:	Big Ron,I've used it 8x already and probably could maybe squeeze a couple more out. But, I think 8-10 is a good estimate depending on the type of foods your cooking. I've used it to cook meat, desserts, ect... in all the same cycle of oil.

Answer:	In all honesty this entire set up is a joke. the basket system does not hold very much, takes for ever to come to temp, does not hold temp.

Answer:	No, the heating element doesn't have hinges. Instead, it is attached to the controls, the part with the knobs and the power cord. This entire part rests on sturdy hooks on the frame and is removable. The entire fryer has four parts: The rectangular frame with the hooks on the back at the top, the pan that holds the cooking oil that sits inside the frame, the control unit with the knobs, power cord and heating element and the frying basket. The deep fryer is very easy to clean. I place the control unit on the countertop next to the sink, being careful to keep the cord away from the water and then wash the heating element over the sink. I've really been pleased with this deep fryer. I hope that my familiarity with it helps you.
