These appliances are smaller in size compared to standard food processors and are ideal for individuals or small households with limited kitchen space. Size and Design: Mini food processors are typically smaller and more lightweight than their full-sized counterparts, making them easy to store and move around in the kitchen. They are often designed to be aesthetically pleasing and can match various kitchen decors.
Functions: Mini food processors are versatile and can perform a variety of tasks, including chopping vegetables, grinding nuts, making salsas, blending sauces, and even kneading dough for small batches.
Capacity: These appliances have a smaller bowl or container compared to regular food processors. The capacity can vary but is generally suitable for processing ingredients for one to four servings.
Blades: Mini food processors come with sharp stainless steel blades that can handle a wide range of food items. They typically include a chopping/mixing blade and may have additional attachments for specific tasks.
Ease of Use: Mini food processors are designed for simplicity and ease of use. They often have one-touch or pulse operation buttons and straightforward assembly and disassembly for cleaning.
Cleaning: Most mini food processors have dishwasher-safe parts, making cleanup quick and convenient. It's essential to clean the blades and bowl thoroughly to prevent the transfer of flavors between different ingredients.

Brand and Model Variations: Various brands offer mini food processors with different features and attachments, so you can choose one that best suits your specific needs.
Safety Features: Many mini food processors have safety features like interlock mechanisms to ensure that the appliance cannot be operated unless it is correctly assembled.

Included components of the Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus Processor Pulse controlled buttons Why Is This The Perfect Mini Processor For You? The Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus Processor handles a variety of food preparation tasks including chopping, grinding, pureeing, emulsifying and blending. The patented auto-reversing SmartPower blade provides a super-sharp edge for the delicate chopping of herbs and for blending and pureeing other soft foods. The blunt edge offers a powerful cutting surface to grind through spices and other hard foods. Pulse activation gives maximum control for precision processing, whether chopping or grinding. Spatula, product manual and recipe booklet included. Using Your Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus Processor The powerful high-speed 250-Watt motor works hard and fast to accomplish any small job with ease. Chop herbs, onions, garlic; grind spices, hard cheese, puree baby foods; blend mayonnaise and flavored butters, all with the same compact appliance. The Mini-Prep Plus Processor takes up minimum counter space and stores neatly on the countertop or in a cabinet. Best Practices When Using Your Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus Processor Size Always cut large pieces of food into smaller pieces of even size – about 1/2-Inch. If you don't start with pieces that are small and uniform, you will not get an even chop. Quantity You don’t want to overload the 3-Cup work bowl. Use the quantities given in the included recipe section of the product manual. As a rule of thumb, remember that after being processed, food should not reach more than 2/3 of the way up the central hub of the blade assembly. Selecting the Right Operating Control Use the Chop function for chopping, pureeing and mixing. It’s the best option, for example, when chopping soft, fragile food such as herbs, celery, onions, garlic and most cheeses. It is also the right choice for pureeing cooked vegetables, making mayonnaise and mixing salad dressing. Pulse action is best when you are using the chop function. Two or three pulses are often enough. Use the Grind function for grinding spices and for chopping hard food such as peppercorns, seeds, chocolate and nuts. Continuous-hold action is best when you are using the grind function. Adding Liquid You can add liquids such as water, oil or flavoring while the machine is running. For example, you might want to add oil when making mayonnaise or salad dressing, or you could add vanilla or alcohol when making frozen yogurt. Pour the liquid through one of the two openings in the cover. Removing Food From the Sides of the Bowl Occasionally food will stick to the sides of the bowl as you process. Stop the machine to clear food away. After the blade has stopped moving, remove the cover and use the spatula to scrape the food from the sides of the bowl back into the center. Cleaning and Storage Read to clean up? No problem To simplify cleaning, rinse the work bowl, cover and blade immediately after each use, so that food won’t dry on them. Wash blade assembly, work bowl, cover and spatula in warm soapy water. If you have a dishwasher, you can wash the work bowl, cover, blade assembly and spatula on the top rack. The Mini-Prep Plus Processor stores neatly on the countertop in a minimum of space. The hidden cord storage underneath the motor base will help to keep excess cord off the countertop. Store the unit assembled to prevent loss of parts. User questions & answers
Question: | I want to chop apples to small dice but not mush. Will this work |
Answer: | I have used it to chop apples, nuts, dates, and figs, put on chop and pulse until desired consistency. Do not try to chop so many at once as it will mush some of them before you can get all of them chopped. I used it to chop apples for baking and it did great. |
Question: | Does it chop nuts |
Answer: | Very well. I used to make peanut butter. |
Question: | Does this product grind up salt, pepper fennel (spices basically |
Answer: | I think that the Krups F203 Coffee/Spice blender might be more of what you are looking for. I have used one for YEARS to grind spices, seeds, and salt with great results. I clean it after each use by grinding up torn white bread into crumbles and dumping them, leaving the metal cup and plastic cap nice and fresh. |
Question: | How many watt does it have |
Answer: | Is there a way to change voltage???? To 220V? |

User questions & answers
Question: | is this a chopper you 'slap' or does each cutting require a careful depression of the top knob |
Answer: | If you only pulse for about 3 seconds, probably. But it's very powerful and your result could be mush rather than "rice". :) |
Question: | Does this product have a warranty? I did not find warranty information on the Amazon website |
Answer: | I purchased this food processor to hold me over until my Cuisinart's recalled blade is replaced. I would not recommend this unit for making nut butters. Compared to the Cuisinart, this unit lacks the oomph required for smooth peanut butter. While I wouldn't say it can't make nut butters, I would certainly advise you to consider spending more money for a better food processor. |
Question: | Will this chopper chop foods fine |
Answer: | works good for dough but I only use the pulse action otherwise it goes to fast and that creates more heat which you don't want when making pie dough |
Question: | How much food does it hold |
Answer: | Unfortunately not. There are such things as cubing grids for food processors but as far as I can tell they are made for professional grade food processors and typically cost in the area of $100plus. A quick internet or Amazon search of "cubing grids" will bring up your choices. |

Question: | What accessories can I purchase for this processor |
Answer: | Compatible with Ascent and Venturist motor bases purchased in the U.S. and Canada. |
Question: | Is this model good for making mayonnaise |
Answer: | Unfortunately, it does not! I bought this in the US and brought it to the UK in my luggage and it doesn't work with my UK-bought motor. Question: | how good is it at chopping onions |
Answer: | No, it only fits the ascent or Venturist models. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do u have to hold down the button to use or can u turn it on and walk away while it chops |
Answer: | It's not a button. When you twist the lid on; you just twist it a little further to chop. But no you cant turn it on and walk away, you have to hold it until it's done. It's chops super fast though and I'm pretty sure that's a safety feature. |
Question: | Hey! Does anyone know how this food chopper performs in terms of dicing 4 - 5 cloves at one time? Does it end up all mashed up, or is it too coarse |
Answer: | This little chopper chops onions for hot dogs, little pickles for relish, garlic that I put into the jars as chooped garlic, and I filled the tub. It's all about how you process it. If you constantly hold the button down and not let up here and there, you will puree anything. A little zing puts the chunk into the chopper. |
Question: | Does 1-1/2 mean one and a half cups or one or half a cup |
Answer: | It means one and 1/2 cup though a tight 1 and 1/2 cup. I usually get about 3/4 cup and don't fill all the way. It's a handy food chopper though. Great for humus and salsa and chopping veggies. |
Question: | What is the best way to chop onions and peppers? Mine turn to mush. If I process for less time, there are huge chucks and mush. I see no way to get peppers as in the picture.....help |
Answer: | I think that if the processor is full, you will get more in tack chunks. When it's fairly empty and you try to chop, that's when they turn to mush. But, if you're trying to do more chunky veggies, you should maybe opt for something like an Alaskan Ulu kit... http://www.amazon.com/Alaska-Ulu-Knife-Chopping-Bowl/dp/B004A49O1S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392654144&sr=8-1&keywords=alaskan+chopping+knife |
