Answer:	No, there is only one slicing disc. But it is adjustable with an approximately 2 1/2" inch lever span that you slide until you find the exact thickness you are looking for. Once you have the slicing disc in place, you maneuver the lever that is on the base of the KitchenAid, facing forward. Once you see the slice size you want, you stop moving the lever. This gives you many slice options and you only have to deal with one disc.

Answer:	I have used it to chop apples, nuts, dates, and figs, put on chop and pulse until desired consistency. Do not try to chop so many at once as it will mush some of them before you can get all of them chopped. I used it to chop apples for baking and it did great.
