Answer:	It's amazing to me to see comments on anything but what is exactly described within this link for the DCC-3200P1. No, this isn't the DCC-3400. Yes, it has a glass carafe. The description says so in three places. Nowhere does the description mention a stainless carafe - NOWHERE. The photos show glass (I agree two of them have what looks to be coffee brewed, but at least one photo clearly shows an empty GLASS carafe.

Answer:	Yes you can pour a cup of coffee before it is totally finished brewing. It does not drip. Once you return carafe it just finishes filling. There is no problem with a drip. Per the instructions. It tells you it is ok to do and it works perfectly

Answer:	Taste: Coffee in the 3200 is more flavorful. A new machine might be expected to be better, but I think they've gotten the flow and temperature of the brewing process better.Temperature: The brewed coffee is much hotter. Both units have three temperature settings for the hot plate, but the settings on the 3200 are hotter.Size and Capacity. The 3200 handles 14 cups compared to the 1200's 12 cups. Yet as you can see from the photos, they are the same height to fit on a counter. They seem to get the extra capacity by making the 3200 a little deeper from front to back. We've been surprised at how useful the extra capacity is.Carafe: The new glass carafe is just like the old one, only larger. It pours nicely with or without the lid on it. The new lid works the same as the old one, popping off and on. (I read some complaints about the lid on an intervening model with a spring opening, but if so, they fixed that by going back to the 1200 style).As far as I can tell, there isn't a version of the 3200 designed for a thermal carafe like there is for the 12-cup models. I prefer the glass carafe because it keeps the coffee hotter longer, and I can always pour the coffee into a thermal carafe if I want to.Water Filling. The bigger size also increases the size of the water fill hole. The lid on the top of the 3200 unit raises to 90 degrees straight up, where the lid on the 1200 tilted further back and out of the way. Still the 3200 is easier to fill, and I suspect that the restriction on the tilt may help preserve the integrity of the hot water tube.Sneak a Cup. Taking out the carafe to sneak a cup during brewing worked great on the 1200 with little dripping, and still does on the 3200.Basket. The basket on the 3200 is very similar to the 1200, but a slightly different shape to accommodate more grounds for 14 cups. Actually, grounds just barely fit with a 4 cup paper filter in the new basket, and sometimes go above the filter in the basket. The basket actually seems more designed for the included gold filter.Water filter. The 3200 uses the exact same carbon filters and filter holder as the 1200, but the holder seems to fit more snugly in its hole, which may help prevent clogging (see below)Beep. The 3200 allows you to turn of the coffee-ready beep if you want.Controls. Controls on the 3200 are a little easier. The 3200 uses all push buttons with no switches. Separate hour and minute settings make it a little easier to program and set the clock. There is a new "Bold" setting which does indeed seem to result in stronger coffee. There is still a setting for smaller, 1-4 cup pots, but I never use that. You can still set the hot plate to stay hot for up to 4 hours, which is important to me. There is a fairly bright blue glow from the LED display on the 3200.Cleaning. There was a sensor button on the hot plate of the 1200 that's gone on the 3200, so the plate stays cleaner. The extra stainless steel looks good on the 3200 but probably shows smudges more and might benefit from special cleaner fluids.Coffee Grounds Overflowing and Clogging. This was the biggest problem before, and I don't know if it's fixed, but it seems better. On the 1200, if you put too many coffee grounds in the filter it could overflow in the brewing process, and sometimes grounds would get into the water system and clog the tube. The 1200 was designed not to be repairable, but customers tried anyway with some difficulty. After one successful repair, we eventually had to replace the 1200. So far, we have not had any overflow issues with the 3200. The larger basket (with possibly a bigger drip opening), the deeper reservoir and longer case, and the more stable, non-tilting lid may help with this, but we will see how it works over time. I do notice that they made the bottom panel easier to remove, with regular screws instead of Torx, if it ever comes to that. My one tip for users is to always use the filter holder with a filter in it, even if your water is fine, because that should help prevent grounds from getting into the heating system.In all, the 3200 is an excellent replacement for the 1200, and worth the extra money if you are choosing between the two models new.

Answer:	The Cuisinart features two separate reservoirs — one to brew a full pot of coffee & one for a single-serve cup. The two reservoirs mean that when you brew a pot, you aren’t using up all of the water from the single-serve reservoir — which is a plus. However both reservoirs are somewhat difficult to access. To answer your question, you don’t have to pour water in each time for the single-serve function, which is an improvement over some other dual coffee makers (like the Hamilton Flex Brew). The single-serve reservoir holds 40 oz — enough to brew three 10 oz cups or five 6 oz cups before refilling. (It requires a limited amount of water to remain in the reservoir to work properly.) Answer:	I called Lodge Customer Service and the guy was super nice and said he gets this question a lot. You have to use a flathead and a pair of pliers. It was very hard for me to screw it (I am giving this as a gift and wanted it assembled) tight enough using the tools but finally got it and it should NOT be loose at all. The screw is a 3/4 inch flathead screw.

Question:	can I stack the pots
Answer:	They are very hard to stack because of their lids. The lids do fit nice and tight on each pan BUT when you flip it upside down to have the handle out of the way, for a nice flat surface to stack, the lid slides off causing a tumble. We stack the pots and pans only (no lids) and place the lids on the side. It's not space friendly but they didn't compromise on these for storing ease..... Wish we could of had both
Question:	Why are mine yes-stick and black after the first use? I have been boiling them with dish washer to see if i can remove the stains with no luck at all
Answer:	The blackness is charred glazing from whatever your cooking. To prevent or minimize, heat the pan slowly with low heat and a little oil. For cleaning, Bar Keepers Friend is great. Other things you might have on hand are cream of tartar, and or vinegar. My personal favorite is using wine while the pan is still hot. Wine is an excellent deglazing tool, and depending on what you’re cooking can add flavor, if done while the food is still in the pan. Happy cooking!
Question:	Have any of you considered the multi-ply set from Cooks Standard and Tramontina? If so, what made you choose Cuisinart? I'm having trouble deciding
Answer:	UPDATE: Comparing Cuisinart, Tramontina and Cooks Standard triply clad stainless steel cookware. In checking further professional reviews, I realised that there were a couple of errors in the information in my original review, below. Tramontina is manufactured in both Brazil and China. The triply clad cookware is ALL triply clad stainless. Another model is their gourmet prima, which looks very similar, but has only the triply base. Tramontina tested out positively against both Cuisinart and Cooks Standard in three cases, and both its triply and prima models beat out Cuisinart altogether. Cooks Standard was not a contender in the latter review. The main selling point for Tramontina over Cuisinart and Cooks Standard is quality, design and efficiency. Cuisinart and Cooks Standard both have flared rims, making pouring better. Cooks Standard is thought to lack beauty. However Cuisinart’s handles are poorly designed, stay too hot and have a point which can cut into the hand. Tramontina triply only offers the flared rims on its skillets. Their Prima model offers it throughout. Regardless of that drawback, Tramontina is consitldered a superior product in the three areas tested. In view of these clarifications and additional information, I have since decided to purchase the Tramontina cookware, over the Cuisinart. I do apologize for the original review errors, and hope that this additional information is as helpful to other buyers as it has been for me! baj
Question:	Will it work on induction cooktops
Answer:	Stainless, cast iron and enameled cookware generally ok. Some cladded pans as well. Goodwill got all my old aluminium. Be cautious of sizes of the bottom of the pan. My LG induction top has three sizes and too big or too small just will not turn burner on. Perhaps as it should be, I guess. But check your cooktop's manual for any word on pan sizes.

Answer:	Mine is coated non stick.. I have had it a week. I was busy so didn't get to use it for first three days or so. I used olive oil on it on the sides and bottom. I have pressured soup, pork roast, and chicken. I am hoping to try to can in it just because. I love it. It stays warm after we dip up our bowls of soup. I don't know how to stop that so I just unplug it. It has a lid that can easily be removed and a glass lid. I have seared my roast. I have unthawed the chicken. It is so beautiful. I just lift the inner pan out and rinse it out, wiping it with a paper towel. I like to use the bamboo or wooden spoons to stir in it as I am a terror on non stick. I have a smaller one that I never used. I was afraid to use it. Right now I am staying with an old friend who is not afraid and he and my husband like everything that has come out of it. The pitcock in the back of the lid is the only thing I don't like because it looks like you could just turn it to release the pressure. You can. But a large amount of steam comes out and if you were not expecting it you could easily be burned by the steam. I use my wooden spoon and turn it. No problem. It isn't hard to turn. Just don't do it with bare hands. It has a small cook book which is a good thing to refer to if you are cooking chicken what did their recipe call for on minutes of pressure. That sort of thing. It has preset timer or you can push time and + the numbers. I am ecstatic over it and I am not usually over anything. I can hardly wait to can in jars in it. Good luck. I am not sure if you can order the stainless steel inner tub or not. Oh! On the side is a little cup that is recessed so when you lift the lid that condensation goes down into a little drain hole and the cup fills with water. I have a hard time removing this. I don't know an easy way. It holds about a fourth of a cup of water. I hope you like the one you get this or otherwise. I got this for myself as a retirement gift.
