Answer:	yes it's non stick. I use it all the time and there is no stick for me.

Answer:	Definitely a good question. I had the same question and issue with the GF grill. I bought this HB Grill and it is great. Great searing and cooks like an outdoor regular grill. Marinate or season your steak however you like it and it will come out perfect. Of course, you won’t have the charcoal flavor if that is what you use for your outdoor grill, but the other flavor, texture and searing will be there. (I personally think it comes out juicier on this grill than the regular outdoor grills). I also found that this HB grill made it easier to get the cooking level you want; for steak; I.e. Medium, Medium Well, Well Done etc.
Question:	the removable grill plate has plug in attached. Is it ok to get that wet when cleaning
Answer:	Yes the booklet says it can be washed, the only thing you can't wash is the base it plugs into. However I don't put mine in the dishwasher and when I wash it I don't let it sit in water. Like my old George Foreman I find its easier to clean if I put wet paper towels on the grills surface while its still hot and shut the lid, this steams off a lot of the baked on marinade I use...

Answer:	The cooking area is about 15x10 in which is more than adequate for me and my wife/ friendsI can grill almost anything without having to deal with weather conditions.Its great with miminalpreperation and cook time. Answer:	I haven't tried steaming vegetables in here but probably not, you can cook boneless chicken thighs though!

Answer:	The dishwasher safe description is misleading. The only dishwasher safe piece is the plastic drip tray. Under "Cleaning and Maintenance", the manual has in all caps: "DO NOT CLEAN PARTS USING A DISHWASHER". The grill plate should not be immersed in water at all, but it cleans very, very easily.
Question:	Does this have a prop 65 warning
Answer:	🤣 prop 65 is a warning to exposures of chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Answer:	Yes, but do not submerge. The easiest way to clean this appliance is to set on low heat after use. Put folded wetted paper towels on grill surface. Leave only a short time until a bit steamy. Take a dry paper towel and remove the wet ones and wipe the surface. Remove remaining residue with a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Then rinse, but be carful not to get water on the plug.

Question:	Whats the difference between the black one and the silver color
Answer:	I have this stainless steel (silver) one but from my previous research the previous model (without the stainless steel accent) didn't have a hinged glass lid like this one and they re-designed the slide tray where the water is put to prevent smoking. The previous model also, didn't have ceramic non-stick coating I think. Otherwise, no difference that I can tell - same controls and cooking temp. This model also doesn't have the free griddle plate (it's free but you have to pay approx. $16 ship/handling to get it).
Question:	What makes the surface nonstick? Is it coated with something
Answer:	It appears to be a "Ceramic" coating which is the best non-stick from an environmentally safe perspective. The coating is very effective at preventing sticking and it's very easy to rinse off. I don't use any soaps/chemicals to clean it because they degrade the surface and the non-stick will break down - rinsing with hot tap water and wiping with a wet rag cleans it well enough.

Answer:	I wouldn't! The surface is non-stick material. Metal will scratch it. I only use utensils designed for non-stick surfaces.

Question:	Is it good for cooking steaks
Answer:	Hello Christi R.; Yes this grill/griddle does a decent job on steaks. Just turn the ribbed side of the cooking plates up, and wipe or spray on some cooking oil, and preheat. My experience with this unit has been when cooking any meat items that grease builds up at the center ridge and needs to be pushed off into the drip pan. This usually means that due to heat and capillary action the grease is pulled up under the cooking plates, where it drips onto the heating element, and smokes like a outdoor BBQ. grill. Anything that does not burn off collects in the tray under the heating elements and will need to be hand cleaned out. Other than the almost useless drip tray My results have been good. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I called Lodge Customer Service and the guy was super nice and said he gets this question a lot. You have to use a flathead and a pair of pliers. It was very hard for me to screw it (I am giving this as a gift and wanted it assembled) tight enough using the tools but finally got it and it should NOT be loose at all. The screw is a 3/4 inch flathead screw.
Question:	What is the cooking surface made from? I see the house is stainless steel but no mention of the cooking surface materials. Is it non-toxic
Answer:	The underside of this is flat, not grooved like a panini press. I use it for toasted cheese and other toasted sandwiches, and like it a lot. Just wipe off the bottom...easy to clean.

Question:	will it work on an electric stove
Answer:	It works great on an electric stove. I have one and love it. Matter of fact, I like it so well I bought one for my daughter for Christmas. It works great with steaks, burgers and sliced veggies. Haven't tried shrimp or chicken yet, but I'm sure it will be good, too. You can sear the outside while the inside of the meat stays pink.
Question:	How do steaks turn out on this grill
Answer:	Depends on your stove... I use gas stove with high flame so it sears my steak well... especially if I press the meat with a tong on different points and I actually hear the searing sound.
Question:	Can you use this on a glass top electric stove
Answer:	you should check with the manufacturer - I don't know what the rules are for glass top electric stoves - I have a gas stove - always have -
Question:	can it still be smokeless if the meat or chicken wings/thighs has BBQ sauce all over it
