Probably is...It took me literally 5 mins to do the switch...You tube the process...It saved me 300.00 for a service call...Just need a couple of hand tools...You will need a Torx screwdriver for the kickplate removal...Also be VERY careful when putting your hand through the housing VERY sharp metal...Wear gloves or something..I cut myself pretty badly... otherwise.. piece of cake

Other points you may be interested in: Running amps are 1.1 in case you where worried about using an extension cord, non issue. They recommend no ext cord but they're covering their butts because many people have very little understanding of electricity and are likely to use a light gauge lamp cord grade. I've only had it a short time but it would seem defrosting is going to be a more frequent occurrence than I had hoped. all in all, given what I paid, I'm happy.
