It pulls 5 watts to start to fill the ice tray. Once the compressor kicked on my inverter cut out on solar. On ac at my house the max watts I saw was 210. Once things settle out it does go down to 130. My inverter is 2500 watts and is really old and I have smaller wires powering it so not the best test on solar. I can attest to this past weekend when it ran all weekend long on ac power. Ice all weekend and super fast rate. I would recommend this ice maker 100%" Thanks again Chris! |

It depends on the quality of your water. If you have hard water, I would say once a month depending upon how much you intend to use it. I use filtered water with mine. |

| Answer: | So I do not know the exact measurements, however, I will say that the freezer compartment is large enough for me to hold several frozen lunches. You can actually stand a small 500ml (16.9 oz) water bottle inside, and probably fit an entire 24 pack into the freezer. I use this unit in my office and have been very pleased with everything about it. |

| Answer: | Bill I am trying to be accurate with my input to your is 500 watts enough question. I am going to stick with demand vs available power is about equal. 500 watt inverter provides a MAX 4.4 amps. At recommended 75-80% load you have 3.5 amp @ 115v. If it was me, I say yes, but make sure the inverter and fridge have air to move heat away. *Think about adding a 90mm PC/Hobby cooling fan next to the inverter. They are 12v and draw as much power as a trunk light bulb. They cost about $2.50. Hope I'm not pissing you off.
