Question:	From what I see in the reviews it seems that there is a problem with the cord getting to hot and the tip of it melting.Is there a better quality cord
Answer:	I've had no issues with the cord attached to the cooler itself but I did have an issue with the Schumacher PC-6 120AC to 6A 12V DC Power Converter that I purchased for indoor use. It ran hot and in less than 6 months it died (Amazon graciously allowed me to return it and gave me a full refund). I replaced it with a Wagan 5 Amp AC to 12V DC Power Adapter. While it gets a little warm, it runs much cooler than with the Schumacher adapter. In fact, the Igloo runs quieter and appears to be more efficient with this adapter. That said I think the power source may be the root cause of the issues that others may have with overheating/melting. I run my cooler inside, all day, everyday as it serves as my office refrigerator and I've had it since last November. I love it and will buy another on the sad day planned obsolescence kicks in.
Question:	Why is the larger unit cheaper than the smaller unit
Answer:	Really don't know but I found out that the larger one keeps cooler much longer and at a lower degree.
Question:	What is the power consumption in amps? I'm useing deep cycle batteries, and low amps is a must

Answer:	It’s pretty rugged much like a cooler but It has ventilation for the condenser so the electrical parts aren’t really water proof. Otherwise it’s fine outdoors if kept out of heavy rain.
Question:	Is small compartment able to be used as colder frig when main compartment is used as freezer? Is there difference in each temps when used as freezer
Answer:	I personally have to fridges. One for a freezer and one for a fridge. If you buy the combo., I feared that if it broke it could be weeks for a replacement. However when you have 2, it uses more power. But I will always have a backup. So now as far as you question....the little compartment can be used as a fridge while the bottom is a freezer....provided it is not at 20 degrees, it should be closer to 30 degrees. With one more thought....if it is opened a lot to move the air periodically. If it stays close for most if the day, it will freeze both areas. I keep mine at 24-27 degrees and my ice cream is still a little soft. The only other idea I have is to freeze the freezer to 20 degrees, make ice, put it in an ice chest and use that as your fridge. So the freezer can always be a freezer.

Answer:	I don't think so. Mine swings 13degrees + in the main compartment. When set to 34 it reaches 47 degrees plus.

Answer:	How many watts? I believe my JP50 is only drawing about .16 amps, it draws just about nothing. But I am not so sure when it kicks into max to get it started for the first time. My bus has 4 deep cycle marine batteries and it runs all night dropping my batteries to about 85% at night. Use at least 2 Lithium ion batteries and you could take it down to 10% and have no fear of battery damage.

Answer:	It keeps the cooler cold if you stop and turn acc feed off. I make 3 or 4 stops 60 to 90 minutes and it keeps lunch and drinks cold.

Answer:	Yes, you can use cooler packs or ice. I use the cooler packs even when using it plugged in. My car accessory plugs do not work when the car is off. So on trips when I stop the cooler packs keep things cool, and don't take up much room in the cooler.

Answer:	I know of no reason you could not, but not sure why you'd want to. The cooler itself is much like any regular cooler, but with the Thermoelectric heat exchanger in the lid. It would not keep ice frozen as it will operate at ~ 40 F below ambient temp. If the ambient temp is 75, it would stay around 35-40F.

Answer:	This "cooler bag" is basically a $4.99 lunch cooler bag you can buy from Walmart except it hangs from the car seat. It's kind of cheaply made. I use it sparingly because I'm afraid it will tear with heavier items. Please guage it as you would that $4.99 lunch cooler bag. The walls of the bag are pretty thin & the bag is not very sturdy. Decent for light items but personally I wouldn't trust placing too many cans of soda or bottled water in it.

Answer:	I've not used it like you describe, I would assume not. The walls are thin - we use one similar in trunk for getting cold items home from grocery store. But, if you have kids it's great for storage and it has sturdy cup holders.

Answer:	It doesn't, and it's terrible and one of the main reasons I sent it back. The only thing securing it (even when it's flipped down) are 3 snaps in the back.

Answer:	Read my review of the Coleman Hot/Cold 40 Qt. Had a Coleman from 2000 that finally died due to a design flaw that allowed the fan to bind in the nacelle/ housing. Bought a new one that lasted 10 weeks. Finally got my refund 4 months later. Can't compare it to this one, but some of the other answers here are misleading. This product is not a portable refrigerator. Those have thermostats and use a compressor. Peltier devices are power hogs - about 5% efficient at transferring heat. So, 95% of the heat you feel on the exhaust of these is produced by the Peltier device, not from inside the cooler. Also, some heat is transferred through inefficient insulation. That's why it takes hours to remove heat from the interior of these coolers before you can start using them.
Question:	Does this actually cool to 40 degrees or does it cool to 40 degrees below ambient temperature? That is a huge difference it gets to 100 where I live
Answer:	We used it while traveling out west last August where temps were in the 100's and it kept everything really cold.

Answer:	Thats a Great question. It isn't in the manual on how to remove the water it just says what you can clean it with. You cannot remove the drawer because the pump is hooked up and I dont see a plug to drain the water. I tried a sponge but that took too long. The thing that worked best is a turkey baster that sucks up the water. Poor design by the company. If anyone has a better answer please let me know.
Question:	What if you make short trips which means your vehicle will be on an off will this damage the unit
Answer:	Yes you can. I have put ice in mine, however it only give you a momentary blast of cool air for a lil while. I’ve learned to just let the water cool off the temperature in the room.

Question:	Are the sides of the blue one, white or gray
Answer:	White, the inside is white as well. The door is the only thing light blue with silver plastic handle. It works great! I have it in my bedroom and it keeps my juice cans, sodas, or mini bottled water nice and cold. The warming option is a nice feature as well. I used it to warm a grilled cheese sandwich I didn't eat earlier. Just make sure it is wrapped. One thing to note: there will be condensation inside that can easily be wiped away with a sponge. I bought 3 of the, 2 for gifts and one for me. The little inside rack on the door holds the shelf if you remove it for bigger bottles or thin medicines that need refrigerated.

Answer:	The box and specs do not specify weight so I weighed it on my bathroom scale. 4 pounds empty.
