Answer:	It’s pretty rugged much like a cooler but It has ventilation for the condenser so the electrical parts aren’t really water proof. Otherwise it’s fine outdoors if kept out of heavy rain.
Question:	How does the battery protection work
Answer:	I personally have to fridges. One for a freezer and one for a fridge. If you buy the combo., I feared that if it broke it could be weeks for a replacement. However when you have 2, it uses more power. But I will always have a backup. So now as far as you question....the little compartment can be used as a fridge while the bottom is a freezer....provided it is not at 20 degrees, it should be closer to 30 degrees. With one more thought....if it is opened a lot to move the air periodically. If it stays close for most if the day, it will freeze both areas. I keep mine at 24-27 degrees and my ice cream is still a little soft. The only other idea I have is to freeze the freezer to 20 degrees, make ice, put it in an ice chest and use that as your fridge. So the freezer can always be a freezer.

Answer:	I don't think so. Mine swings 13degrees + in the main compartment. When set to 34 it reaches 47 degrees plus.

Answer:	How many watts? I believe my JP50 is only drawing about .16 amps, it draws just about nothing. But I am not so sure when it kicks into max to get it started for the first time. My bus has 4 deep cycle marine batteries and it runs all night dropping my batteries to about 85% at night. Use at least 2 Lithium ion batteries and you could take it down to 10% and have no fear of battery damage.

The voltage regulator usually reads the battery’s voltage and turns on the charging function to top off, if you will, the battery. If you do run the engine for 10 minutes, of course the alternator will recharge the battery. I would ensure the headlights were turned off as well. Just as an extra measure. If you were interested manning on running the refrigerator for an extended period of time like for several weeks while at an Rv Park, then I would either put the 110v AC line to the Rv or at least a battery maintainer/charger on the battery if in an automobile without AC.
