Answer:	I always used an emersion blender (sp?) for the fastest results making baby food....used it through 2 children and loved it!!!!!Zap zap, then its done, fast clean up along with fast puree for the babies!!!! alot easier to use and clean then having to use a bigger food processor...but this food processor I love...

Answer:	It comes with two blades. One is the kind that sits down in the bottom chopping/mixing blade. the other sits on the top and is reversible one side slices less than 1/4" slices, and the other side is a cheese greater. Both work great.

Answer:	Yes chops them perfectly! Make sure they’re are soft and if not then soak them in water for about 10-30 mins. If you want to be more careful then cut the dates in half before you put them in the processor.

Answer:	Edge guides don't work as well as clamping an aluminum fence or ruler and carefully pushing it along that guide. Make sure you use the right kind of blade, intended for straight cuts. Jig saws are not intended for thick material though. If you need long, straight cuts through sheet goods and boards over 1/2" thick, a circular saw is your first choice.

Question:	I just want a great smoothie-no extraction-but needs to chop ice quickly....is this the right blender
Answer:	I purchased both, 450 for my brother and 456 for me. The differences are: - The book: 456 has more recipes - The lid: 456 has a better lid, easier to use IMO - Usage: this one is the most annoying/ different. In 450, when using the machine, you need to stablize the cup by spinning it, "clicking" into their locks. But 456 gets rid of that, just push your cup onto the machine, and start blending. It doesn't have to same stability as in 450, shaking crazily when blending, which is a major disappointment. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Great question! The blades of the Ace Plus are fixed in place and are not designed to be removed.

Answer:	Yes there is no plastic around the blade that would touch your blending mixture. It says so in the bullet points in the description for reference:"CLEAN, PLASTIC-FREE BLENDING - Plastic-free blending environment with the tempered glass blending carafe and all stainless-steel blade assembly "Also, like you probably I'm specifically looking for a non plastic blade coupling and actually found out about this blender form a site called Kitchen Gear Pro where they explain about the blade attachment being all metal unlike the 850 model.Now, just wish manufactures would consider a non plastic lid (perhaps metal or silicone if glass is risky) to completely avoid any possible plastic contamination if the mixture sprays upward while blending.

Answer:	I haven't seen the 950b anywhere, even an the tribest website, but if you look in the specs on amazon it says that it is a 950a, so I think the title is just misleading. I just checked the model number of mine and it said 950... but there is no difference in the specs of mine verse the 950a

Answer:	I have never tried this, but some of the feedback from various owners is that you can actually run the soup on a high blend setting and it will create enough energy to theoretically cook the soup. I would doubt this can happen and you would have to run it for a very long time. But, I will say, this counter top blender has surprised me in so many ways, it really is a great product.

Question:	I've read about people using their same vitamix for 30 years. Can anyone attest to this type of durability with the Waring
Answer:	Currently using a 40 year old Waring Futura II to make my smoothies for my wife in 2014 ! It has 4 pulse speeds and 4 regular speeds. You can still get parts for these too. (They still sell on Ebay for $35. Vintage vitamix blenders all had square containers like Blendtec because Waring had the patent on the round containers !) Frank Waring invented the Blender in 1936 . Hard to tell me about longevity; this people are the "originators" of the blender and they make a superior product today. My next purchase will be another Waring blender tha is made in USA. It served my parents well for their lifetime and was passed on to me. Only reason I am considering an upgrade because I want to chop frozen items into my smoothies now.
