Answer:	At 9 psi (so-called "High") and 5 psi (truly "Low"), this Presto will disappoint you much more than the the 6- and 8-quart Instant Pots. The IPs' High ranges between upper-11 psi & low-12 psi. The newest Instant Pot "Max" can reach the 15 psi that is standard for *stovetop* pressure cookers. Good luck! Answer:	No approval from the USDA. But they don't actually formally approve canners. They list specifications that a canner must have and the Max fails two of those. It has neither a pressure dial gauge or a continuously venting weighted gauge and does not meet the USDA size specification.

Answer:	A bit of research was done on this. Here's an openly available study : https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0208769 Instant Pot has a fluff piece about it on their web site as well. I've also noticed that sterilizing in an Instant Pot is popular with YouTube Biohackers / Brewers for preparing their growth mediums. I use my Instant Pot (a cheaper model with less options) to prep Bell jars used for kombucha, ginger beer, prepping/'waking up' my beer yeasts, etc. The lab standard for sterilizing that is referenced in that linked journal is 121 degrees Celsius at 15psi for 30 minutes or more, and this unit is capable of meeting those standards.
Question:	Is there a way to have staged manual settings for temperature and time i.e. 20 mins @ 100F, then 20 mins @ 120, etc
Answer:	No, and in all likely hood, it will never be. Why? It is too small. All of the tested recipes from the USDA and the NCFHP use larger capacity canners. They state that a canner must be able to hold 4 one quart jars upright. Size matters due to the fact that heat up and cool down times are factored into the tested recipes. Now if Instant Pot can show that the heat up and cool down times are adequate maybe it will be approved. Not holding my breath.

Answer:	You can sterilize mason jars using the steam cycle. Place the trivet in your MultiPot steel pot, pour 1 1/2 cups of water into the pot, and place jars on top of the trivet/steam rack. Set the steam vent handle to Sealing and select Steam on High Pressure for 1 minute. Remember that the MultiPot is not designed for pressure canning. Always use a stovetop pressure canner for preserving low-acid foods, as electric pressure cookers are not approved or rated for canning food.

It appears too that most inside-the-pot accessories that will work in in other similar pressure cooker appliances will also work in the MultiPot.. By example, I wanted a nice large steam basked for my MultiPot. After some research I found on Amazon the Hatrigo Instant Pot Accessories 6 qt Steamer Basket that fits InstaPot Pressure Cookers. It is a superb steam basket, rated 4.8 Stars in 1,240+ reviews.. This steam basket works perfectly in my MultiPot.. I could not be happier with it and it works perfectly fine for my needs.. Look around for other accessories that might meet your needs.
Question:	What parts can be cleaned in a dishwasher
Answer:	Honestly I would perfer to hand wash all of the pieces of my stainless steel inner pot and all other parts. My reason is the heat over time in the dish washer will mess the silicone gasket up it best to wash by hand and let it air dry. Also I believe putting stainless still in the dishwasher starts giving it a discolor look or dull look. Yes I do have a dishwasher but on things like that I like to hand washing them.

Answer:	We have an Instant Pot and a Mealthy Multipot. If anyone in my family is asked to grab the pressure cooker, they return with the Mealthy. It is sleek. It has the same features. It comes with an extra silicone ring. We love the Mealthy. My husband swears it works better. I have no proof on that, but I can tell you our Mealthy makes more meals than the Instant Pot. It's just as good, if not better when it comes to cooking, style, use and price.
