Answer:	I don’t know about any insulated carafe since I’ve never owned one. I know this one does fine. Just wish the coffee pot would brew coffe with coffee flavor. It’s just brews warm coffee color water.

Answer:	Think twice before ordering. Braun does not recognize this model, cannot register. Also, model number not on bottom as indicated by Braun; made in China?

Answer:	You can “set it and forget it”; the cool feature is it comes auto set to two hours and it can be adjusted in five minute increments up to 4 hours. You can also adjust it to less than two hours, as long as it is at least five minutes. It’s literally the best coffee pot I’ve ever owned. I live near Seattle, and we make 3+ pots of coffee a day. We’ve tried several different coffee makers over the years, and will only purchase Braun from now on.

Answer:	No. It has a cone-shaped permanent filter. Regular coffee filters won’t fit properly. A cone coffee filter is your best bet if you feel you need one. I just use the permanent filter and the charcoal water filter that came with the coffee maker. I replace the charcoal water filter every 2-3 months, based on how often I brew coffee.

Answer:	Just pull up the very top long part. Be sure to see how many staples you have left. If it is just a small number, remove (it will come out as one piece_. The new staple block will be longer than the staple bed so insert to front, push down on back, remove that small block. You can't save up these small blocks and use them together later to fill stapler bed; since they are not stuck together as a single block, they will not stay in a straight line and the front one will come out wrong, clogging exit. You have to pill it out from the exit.
Question:	Will this replace the carafe for an older model Braun Coffee maker Type 3106 ? It looks exactly like it but it's hard to tell. Thank you
Answer:	No, it won't. You will need to get a stapler with a deeper throat do staple in the middle of a folded 8.5x11 sheet of paper to make a booklet. The kind of stapler you need to staple folded sheets of paper into booklets is called a "long reach stapler". If you search for this on Amazon you will find several options. I had a Swingline model and it worked wonderfully.
