Answer:	I bought the red one for my mother in law- I'm sure that they are the same material. It would dangle but not gracefully. It's not flimsy as cotton... there is some body to it - like neoprene.

Answer:	It does not scratch the dishwasher. It has rubber on both ends and a soft magnet on the back. The part that slides to dirty or clean does not touch the dishwasher.
Question:	Are the letters raised vinyl or etched into the metal? I actually need it to say "open" and "closed" so plan on removing the lettering. Can I
Answer:	They look like they have been enameled on, not vinyl or etched. I don’t think you could get the letters off.

Answer:	Mine is not jagged at all. As a matter of fact it is too smooth. It move too easily. You could accidentally slide it one way or the other.

Question:	Does it work well in stainless steel sinks
Answer:	Yes. I have a stainless steel sink and I have no problem getting the suction cup to stick to it. I cleaned my cabinets of all “gadgets” a few years ago and vowed to never buy any again. I made an exception for the Thaw Claw and I’m glad I did. This is one of the handiest things I have in my kitchen.

Answer:	Don’t think so
Question:	I use food saver bags to freeze my meats will this work
Answer:	It should work just fine as long as the food bag fits the claw (or is not too big to fit the claw).
Question:	Can this be used in hot water e.g. a sous vide setup? About 130-145 degrees F
Answer:	the suction cup would probably "fail" at higher temps. it would become more pliable and would lose suction. I thought of the same use, then wished it had used weights to hold the food down.
