If you do not use it for a long time. And since there are batteries inside the device and the device does not have a power switch.

The device enters into the low power mode and the internal resistance of some dry batteries is unstable, which will lead to the device can't wake up and can't be turned on.

Here is the way to turn it on:

1. Removing the batteries from the device, and keep waiting for 10 minutes.

2. Waiting for the motherboard is completely out of power. Re-installing the new batteries to restart the device.

Answer:	The length of the probe Wire is about 43 inches and the probe is about 6.1 inches. The package comes with 2 extra stainless steel probe clips, you can use them to hold probe to monitor the oven and smoker temperature. I have been using the wireless thermometer for my oven, it is safe.

Answer:	I have not noticed a significant delay in read times. It's alway been plenty fast read on both the base station and in the iOS app.
Question:	Ibbq device shows up in bluetooth search. connection requires pairing code. 0000 or 1234 does not work. whats the code needed to pair device to phone
Answer:	Yes, the probes are stainless steel, you can leave the probes in and shut the lid. I always put the probe into the meat before putting the meat on to cook. so far working well, i am pretty happy with it. It also comes with 2 little metal clip that will suspend one of the probes to monitor the temp inside smoker/oven.

Answer:	There is a wire in the probes. So the display has a wire that goes to the meat. However the connection between your smart phone and the unit is wireless using Bluetooth. Mine works very well

Question:	Will the probe fit through a grommet? Does the large head stop this
Answer:	The large head does present the problem of not going through the grommet easily. It’s ok for just one probe although not quick and easy. I usually use multiple probes, therefore I remove the grommet, put probes through the hole and just seal with aluminum foil.
