Answer:	I'm sorry that I cannot tell you right now. They are at my winter home in Florida and I am now back to my summer home in Canada, but I can tell you that they are great. Answer:	I can tell you they are heavy, strong, and do not seem to rust or tarnish, but as to the specs of the metal used, I haven't a clue.

Answer:	We use them for cracking lobsters, but they are sturdy and seem of good quality, and I don't see why you couldn't use them for cracking nuts.
