Answer:	The plastic support ring is just to hold the metal grinder mechanism and spring in place and does not move. The salt and pepper grains, prior to grinding, do flow through the support ring. The mechanism used is very common and does not affect the salt and pepper grinding process.

Question:	Are all sets ordered in 2018 "etched" and not painted? how can i tell before i order? where is the upc label to check
Answer:	DKB changed the manufacturing process for the markings on the mill many years ago so all mills in the marketplace should be updated with the etched version. Please note that the updated laser etched markings look similar to the old printed version, this was just a processing change which made the markings much more durable. Answer:	The pepper mill hasn't leaked at all. I had to check the salt grinder - I couldn't see anything on my lightish granite counters, but I could feel a little bit of very fine salt "dust" - not enough to worry about.

Answer:	I emptied the salt into a measuring cup. The salt came to 3/4 of a cup for a full salt grinder. SALT 5 to 6 Ounces max. I did the same for pepper and got 2/3 of a cup. PEPPER Ounces 5.33

Answer:	It is acrylic. I can see the acrylic molding where the rivets hold the container to the top. We like the set. A very nice feature of this set is that the salt and pepper comes out at the top so there is no salt and pepper residue around the set when you set it down.

Question:	will they grind flax seed
Answer:	It grinds peppercorns so I would think it would.
Question:	How long do the batteries last before needing to replace them? If for example the mills were used at least once a day, during dinner preparation
Answer:	I purchased these for my son and daughter-in-law's anniversary gift in October, and they've been used at meals and during prep every day since, so the batteries in it are still new. But in all honesty, I can't say that the batteries will wind down anytime soon. I don't see a situation where they would, unless they were the only mills you used for something like a catering business where you prepped and served food to hundreds each and everyday. The pepper and salt come out of the mills quickly and the need to keep the button pushed is very minimal. It's really just a quick press and release. I'd be willing to guess that these same batteries would be still used in a year.
Question:	How fine does this grind? I'm looking for something that can pretty much powder some of my spices
Answer:	Not at all, I use them mostly in a pretty coarse grind, most fro that last "salt and pepper to taste" instruction in a lot of recipes or for prepping meat. Otherwise they jam up.
Question:	How do I change the batteries
Answer:	1. You twist the cover to unlock, then pull it out to remove;2. You pull out and remove the plastic sleeve protecting the batteries;3. You replace the batteries (4 AA batteries)4. You return every thing back in reverse.To refill the machine you do the same as item 1 then you twist the whole mechanism to unlock from the spice container. Then you fill it up and return every thing back by reversing the action.You do this process multiple times leading to the inner plastic parts to start breaking up, and the grinder stops working.This is a cheep Chinese made machine that is not worth the money you spend on it :-(

Answer:	I’ve had mine for a while, so far happy with it, no rust or peeling off problems.

Answer:	It is not nearly as large as pictured. Maybe a small to medium size.

Answer:	I’m not really sure, but it should. You have some flexibility with the spout. However most of the water only drains from the middle. So some water will remain on the drip board until I manually drain it and rinse it up off. But it does a good enough job.

Answer:	Yes, both the top holding adjustable nut is machined metal along with the grinding stem down to the mill. Both metal ,what kind of metal ?? I don't know. Pot metal or brass I'm assuming because its chrome.

Question:	How do i contact latent epicure if i have a problem with the grinders
Answer:	Did you solved it? Mine also have it's blue light always on. If you put it on operational position it starts grinding and the lights still on. Positioning it upright and the grinding stops but the lights still on.
Question:	How wide is the tray that comes with it
Answer:	I believe so. But they are very easy to use. You remove the bottoms to fill. Just about a half turn and they open easily. Batteries are in the top part and that is just a quick twist to open as well. Adjusting the coarseness is done at the very tip by turning clockwise for finer grind
