Answer:	I just talk with Kyocera. They do not recommend wet salts for this mill (CM-15N) because it has a metal spring in it. Their other mill (CM-20C) is recommend for wet salts.

USING WET SALTS WITH KYOCERA CERAMIC MILLS

When using wet salts, we recommend frying the salt slightly first before filling the mill, to remove any moisture. Most grinders come with a metal grinding mechanism that will eventually corrode with consistent contact of wet salts. However, Kyocera mills are equipped with non-corrosive ceramic burrs and will not be affected by moisture. We recommend this preliminary step with wet salts for consistent grinding performance.

Answer:	You can adjust it very easily by turning the metal knob on top of the pepper. We rarely use the salt.

Answer:	This is for granular products (pepper/salt/seed spices) that can fall into the grinding mechanism. Sticks are inappropriate for this apparatus.

Answer:	To refil most spices into small containers I fill Kitchen paper cups (like Dixie brand) then squeeze the top to make a funnel as small as needed and pour into the container. Works like a charm!

Answer:	I'm not running off to empty and measure it, but I'd guess it holds between 1/3 and 1/2 cup coarse celtic sea salt. We're very happy with it, and we don't have to refill it too often for our family of 7.

Answer:	Yes, the lower portion that contains the salt/pepper is glass. The top is made of a very high impact plastic. I've been using them for a number of years with no issues. I highly recommend them.

Question:	Can I buy a replacement bottle
Answer:	If you broke the bottle, buy another. Otherwise you just screw off the top and put in more salt.
Question:	Does this have plastic parts
Answer:	I believe that the top of the grinder...the part you would open....might be plastic. It is very hard plastic I would guess.
Question:	Can you use wet sea salt with this grinder
Answer:	No, you cannot. You would need a specific grinding mechanism with an anti-clogging spiral that shuffles the salt in the reservoir in order to use wet sea salt. This particular grinder does not have this. Albeit, this is an awesome grinder for peppercorns or dry sea salt.
Question:	Can you use other dried herbs like parskey or basil
Answer:	Yes, you can use those and any other herbs just as long as they are completely dry to avoid clumping.

Step 1: Take down the bottom rubber ring.



Step 2: Put the kosher salt, sea salt, Himalayan salt, peppercorn, red pepper, black pepper in the body of mill.



Step 3: Rotate the top cover, turn the nut clockwise for a fine grind, the counter clockwise for coarse grind, the powder will be out from the top of the mill.

Question:	Will this work for spices such as nutmeg, cumin, coriander, etc
Answer:	This is a grinder so anything that could be ground should work. It's tough enough for salt and pepper! So prob would work on other spices. I don't think leafy spices would be good tho cuz it might clog!

Answer:	Sort of. If you have one messy hand and one clean hand, you can hold the grinder in the clean, and use the other forearm to move the lever. Because it's a big lever, you don't need your hand to operate it, just something that can push on it.
Question:	where are they manufactured
Answer:	China. It's a great product.
Question:	Can this grinder be used to grind cloves
Answer:	No, it can not: on Kuhn Rikon's webpage for this product they specifically say not to grind cloves or anise because the oils will destroy the plastic.

Question:	If i set the grind to medium, will it stay there? the set i have now loosens as i use it and the grind changes
Answer:	No it would not work. The trough where the peppercorns (or flax or sea salt etc) get sucked in between the grinding surfaces is less than a quarter inch at the widest. Not even a coffee bean would fit much less a nutmeg. Sorry I have no suggestion for what else would work.
Question:	Are they refillable
Answer:	I think it might be ok. I used it to grind cardamom seeds and it was great. The grind wheel is adjustable so you should be ok. I don't think it would work for coffee beans or anything of that size
