Answer:	Not sure of Rockwell hardness but this file broke very easily with minimal pressure and cut me like a razor blade

Answer:	The file is double-cut on both sides. Worked well on my mower blades although it is a very narrow file at about 3/4" wide. I prefer the Nicholson AXE file which is wider, single-cut on one side and double-cut on the other.

So you could cut something 10 inches in diameter for a 10 inch slice. You could potentially make a longer slice, but then you would have to feed the item in by hand and need to watch your fingers...

Answer:	The 615 is very easy to break down for cleaning. Lol, I have 5 thumbs when it comes to mechanical engineering, and even I have no problems. It's not a complicated piece of equipment. I think it's one of the best designed slicers out there. Especially for the money.

Answer:	Our Derwent pepper grinder very well indeed worked for a year but suddenly stopped performing. We contacted the UK office of Cole & Mason. They put us in touch with the US office, we returned our faulty grinder and the other day we received a brand new Derwent pepper grinder sent from Canada. Excellent service and the "Lifetime Warranty" does exist!

Answer:	I can tell you I'm here to replace my Magnum grinder with this one based on reviews because the Magnum after time has uneven pepper grind quality. It's also infuriatingly slippery if your fingers are wet, and this has been a problem and source of aggravation since day one when multitasking to get a multi-part meal on the table. I've had two of them in town and country for nearly ten years and am going to be glad to be rid of them.

Answer:	We have had the pepper grinder for several years, and it definitely leaves pepper on the counter. More so now than when we first got it. I think it very much depends on how hard you set it down. If you're heavy-handed (like one member of my household!), than of course, anything that was ground and didn't fall off over your plate/pan will come loose when you smack it down on the counter. You'll have less residue if you shake it gently over your plate, then set it down gently on the counter.

Question:	Are all sets ordered in 2018 "etched" and not painted? how can i tell before i order? where is the upc label to check
Answer:	DKB changed the manufacturing process for the markings on the mill many years ago so all mills in the marketplace should be updated with the etched version. Please note that the updated laser etched markings look similar to the old printed version, this was just a processing change which made the markings much more durable. Answer:	The pepper mill hasn't leaked at all. I had to check the salt grinder - I couldn't see anything on my lightish granite counters, but I could feel a little bit of very fine salt "dust" - not enough to worry about.

Answer:	The retainer ring is plastic and close fits inside a 1,5 in bore. The grinder mechanism close fits inside a 1 1/16 inch bore. The salt/pepper isolation tube has a stepped base, The larger diameter fits into the pepper chamber that is 1 1/2 inch diameter. The smaller diameter fits into the salt chamber that is 1 1/16 diameter. I recommend that you use a inexpensive blank and make a model before using an expensive wood blank.

Answer:	Yes, both the top holding adjustable nut is machined metal along with the grinding stem down to the mill. Both metal ,what kind of metal ?? I don't know. Pot metal or brass I'm assuming because its chrome.
