Almost every 4 1/2" angle grinders in the US have a 5/8" spindle diameter size. However, on 4 1/2" abrasive discs, the actual diameter of the arbor hole is 7/8". The 2/8" size difference is because of the locking and securing mechanism of both the "Inner Flange" and the "Lock Nut" of the 4 1/2" angle grinder. The Inner Flange and the Lock Nut maintain the stability and safety of the abrasive disc during operation. How to Make Sausage

Highly recommend following steps to stuff sausage:

No Need to Grind Meat double times, Only One Time! From grinding meat directly to stuffing sausage at the same time.

1. Cut raw meat to short narrow cubes
2. Mix Sausage seasonings and other ingredients together with the cut meat (from 1st step)
3. Freeze the Mixed meat with seasonings(from 2nd step) for a while, or just put it aside for a few minutes to let water drained.
4. Then put the waterless or partially frozen meat on food tray to stuff sausage directly.

Grind 1 pound of beef

2 egg yolks

1⁄3 cup dry bread crumbs

1⁄3 cup Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

3⁄4 teaspoon garlic salt

1⁄2 teaspoon oregano / 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons chopped stuffed olives / 1⁄4 cup olive oil

Steps

Place ground beef, egg yolks, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic salt, oregano, pepper, and olives in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to mixer.

Turn to Speed 2 and mix for 1 minute. Form mixture into 30 (1-inch) balls and fry in olive oil until well browned. Drain on paper towels. Warm Tangy Barbecue Sauce and pour over meatballs. Serve warm from chafing dish.

Answer:	Don't crank down on the retaining screw when inserting the attachment. It's a retaining screw, not a lug bolt. And no, I have never had a problem with metal contamination.

Answer:	As far as I've ever seen, heard, or read, every Kitchen Aid ever manufactured, and certainly any sold over the past 50 years, uses the same "attachment hob" so yes, it should work with just about any KA you're likely to come across, whether old, new, used, or refurbished...
Question:	does this blade fit fga-2 grinder
Answer:	Assuming you are talking about raw meat - the key is to cut it into small enough pieces. The worm gear on a commercial grinder (which this is not) can cut meat as it feeds it toward the disk. the worm on the kitchenaid can't cut the meat unto chunks - you have to do that for it. Shoot for 1/2 - 1" or so chunks. I cut up beef (chuck, brisket, round, etc.), and pork (shoulder, etc.) all the time and grind all the scraps without any problems. Once in a while I have to clean out fat, but not very often. Most common problem I have see is people not cutting the meat small enough, which jams the worm, which stresses the machine and can strip gears or burn it out.
