Answer:	The wattage is 108. 120 volts X 0.9 amps= 108 Watts

Answer:	I haven't used the blending rod yet, but I assume it's for adding or stirring in ingredients that need to be mixed gently...such as folding an ingredient into (whipped) egg whites or cream.
Question:	On my machine the plate which holds the adjustment knob is loose, resulting in thickness changes while slicing. Can I tighten this myself
Answer:	Plastic. There is a picture of the gears (busted) within the ratings. Plastic is quieter but it is cheaper engineering solution and you sacrifice durability. Honestly it will hard to find a retail mixer with metal gears. This is a decent LOW duty/LOW power hand mixer, i.e. cake mix, light batters, single batch of cookies.
Question:	I bake soft bread that is difficult to slice without squishing. Does this work with soft bread
Answer:	The one I "had" only had a super slow speed and nothing else. I should have returned it, but I was so upset, I gave it to someone else to repair and told them to keep it. I have since purchased another brand at a much lower price and I'm very happy with it. I must have gotten the one that did not go through quality control as I have been extremely happy with my other Kitchenaid products. Good Luck!

Answer:	It will cut any frozen meat or fish but if your looking to cut fish steaks the largest slice you will get is slightly under an inch thick. I haven't cut that size but according to the manufacture 25mm is max.
