Answer:	Basically, you have to center whatever you put on it. If all the weight is on the arms, as long as your container sits evenly across the three legs it will work.

Answer:	Folded up just under 6" long, 1.5"wide. I carry it in a sunglasses case in my purse for out to eat situations. It fits perfectly inside.

Answer:	Yes,Every digital gram scale was calibrated thousands of times before they came from factory.If you don't have weights,you can also put one dollar bill on the scale,1 dollar bill equals to 1 gram exactly,if the scale reads 1 gram,the scale is calibrated accurately.

Answer:	I bought a set of calibration weights about 5 bucks. For what we paid for the scale it needs to be calibrated every once in a while to make sure you don't short change yourself..

Answer:	This happens on lots of devices with similar battery packets. All I can say is, keep trying. Make sure your fingers (thumb especially) are dry and without lotion. Push down with your thumb and at the same time back to slide open the door. It will open.

Answer:	Yo Johnny, this is what i wanted to know b4 i bought this scale. Just like any other scale, u dont "set it" for a certain weight. you just know that an eighth is like 3.54 g and u just go by that. whatever u want to tare out of the weight just set it on the scale then press the "T" button so it zeros itself out so ur only weighing whats inside the baggy ;) Its so sensitive plus the numbers are so bright and easy to read! i put a ziplock on and it weighs 1.2g. A regular sandwich bags weigh .4g. It uses 2 AAA batt and not those button batts. Cant beat the price either.

Question:	How does it calculate ml if ml is a volume, not a weight
Answer:	I wish scales didn't have this--it's really just grams, changing the "gm" to "ml." Many kitchen liquids are around 1 g/ml, so it's not too far off for them. Oils are around 0.9 g/ml, so a reading of "10 ml" would actually be 10 gram, or about 11 ml. But honey is dense--about 1.4 g/ml. A reading of "10 ml" would actually be 7 grams.
Question:	can I put a bowl on it, zero it, then weigh only the contents of the bowl, not the bowl itself
Answer:	Yes, absolutely. You can put a bowl on it. Tun it on and it will start with zero. Then, you can weight your contents.
Question:	Does it come with the blueberries? Those are some good looking blueberries. This could be a deal breaker for me
Answer:	Really, if you think about it, the blueberries should come with the blue scale, red bell peppers with the red scale, and so on. Its as though no one on this thread sorts their M&M's by color before eating them!

Question:	What calibration weight is needed for the ZIP
Answer:	instructions say to use the 100g weight & the 200g weight (not included of course👎)
Question:	The images say the scale requires a 500g calibration weight but some of the questions/answers say it requires a 100g weight. Which is correct
Answer:	The one I got only reads up to .9 example 1.3g or 2.8g it will also not read under a gram unless I put over a gram on it then remove some and then it will only read from .9 to .1

Answer:	Yes and no. It has built in calibration but you have to supply the calibration weight, either 300 or 1000 grams depending on your particular scale.
Question:	I have lost my instructions for this great little scale. I have a 500 g weight. Can anybody summarize how to calibrate it for me? Thanks
Answer:	I just received the 1000g version. The product description shows the calibration procedure as requiring a 1000g weight. Upon opening the scale and reading the provided directions...it says it will require three 100g weights(!)...each one placed individually as indicated on the scale. It calibrates the 100, then 200 and finally 300 grams. So a $13 scale is really more like $30. More if you already purchased a 1000g weight...as advertised...in preparation of your purchase.

Answer:	Do not listen to BetterBasics, this ZIP300 scale is calabrated with a 300g weight. I screwed up my scale, and now have to deal with an annoying return because I listened to this person.

Answer:	OK, this is not a laboratory instrument. I mean, it's only 10 or 12 bucks isn't it? That said, I am happy with the scale. I bought the 300g calibrating weight..absolutely necessary IMO, and calibrate it before every use...more often if you are weighing multiple items as the accuracy on my scale seems to drop off after 25 - 30 pieces. So, for what it is , calibrated often, I'm happy with the accuracy. There, I didn't a word about your typing accuracy....woops

Or due to changes in localacceleration of gravity around the world, adjustment is recommended whenmoving the scale from one location to another. To check calibration:1. Turn the scale ON2. Wait until the LCD displays "0.0", then press and HOLD MODE key for 3-5seconds, the LCD will display "CAL", then release the MODE key.3. Press MODE key gain, the display will flash "CAL" followed by the requiredcalibration weight.4. Add the 500 gram calibration weight on the center of the platform, after a fewseconds, the display will show "PASS". Calibration is complete!

Turn on the scale and hold down the "PCS" button until the count icon and 25 samples appear on the screen.
