Question:	Does it also go negative? For example, if I have a bowl with food in it and tare it, then remove some of the food, does it show a negative number
Answer:	I also needed to know if it would go negative 😊. The reason we use the negative measurements is this: if I am making a recipe, and I need to add 20 grams of honey, rather than messing up a measuring cup, you put the open honey jar (you don't want to include cap weight) on the scale and tare or "zero" it. Then, pick up the honey, put in about what you think is about 65% of your desired weight. Then put the honey jar back on the scale. The amount it shows in a negative number is the number of units (for me, usually grams) that you added to your recipe. Repeat pouring in until the scale registers as a negative number what you were looking to add (in this example, at the end it would say -20g).
Question:	Why are you using horribly faked superimposed photos of food? It throws off the scale of the product
Answer:	That's for "scale" (it's small: you put food on it, not people). Yes, these are definitely photoshopped, which is common here on Amazon. (If you click the strawberries and then hover your mouse over the different colors, you'll see that these are the EXACT same strawberries in each picture. ) Take a look at the review photos for something more real.

Answer:	"Schrodinger's cat" LOL! Patricia, I use my scale to weigh my parrot. i just have to get him to hold still for a second which I do by holding an almond in front of him. Cats usually momentary freeze when they see something interesting to them as well. Alternatively, you could make an odd sound, like a distressed mouse squeak. Your cat will probably freeze at that in order to determine where the noise is coming from. Let the cat play in the box before you put it on the scale so she/he will be used to being in it.

Answer:	If you put the food on the scale and then turn the switch on, the scale will automatically zero. This is a very intelligent function.I found out in my scale which received a few days ago.So that the pictures are not wrong.

Answer:	No. It measures the ambient room temperature at the scale--not the temperature of a liquid in container on the scale.
Question:	does the time count up
Answer:	No, the timer on the unit is a countdown timer. You set it for 20 minutes, for example and an audio alarm will go off in 20 minutes. There is also a regular digital clock that you could quickly set to 12:00 and count up from there, but there would be no alarm.

Answer:	You can try to reset it by taking out the batteries, waiting 1-2 minutes and putting them back in.

Answer:	It shows current weight for about 10 seconds after use. Have not seen any indication of prior readings but then I have not really investigated that.

Answer:	I'm not sure yet. I've had the scale almost 3 months and it's still going strong. Since it has an LED screen I imagine it would use up batteries a little faster than your average scale, but all other scales I've had have lasted years without the batteries dying. My kids love the light on the scale so they jump, play, and otherwise abuse it. Nothing has phased it so far. I'm still happy with it!

Question:	I didn't set up the scale correctly in the beginning, well i didn't even set it up. How do i reset it up now? didn't keep the manual
Answer:	If you did not setup the scale you don't need to reset it. Press SET, using the Up and Down Arrows, select a Profile Number, Gender, enter your height, then your Age (Note: Be sure to press SET after each selection)After entering your Age, the scale will display "0.0". Immediately step onto the scale in your bare feet and remain standing. The scale will save your profile and display all the good stuff. You could call Ozeri Customer Service at 1-877-299-1296 and request a new manual.

Question:	Does it accurately measure Body Fat as well as other ancillary measurements
Answer:	Yes, it measures them. As for accuracy, it may be a bit off. However, if you're tracking changes to any of those parameters, then it is accurate. For example, it may have your muscle, fat, etc %age slightly higher or lower than complete accuracy - but it has it the same amount higher or lower every time you weight, making it accurate for measuring how those parameters may have increased or decreased over time. I think that's why most people buy this type of scale - to track changes.

Answer:	I have no idea, however, to weigh your cat. Step on scale and weigh yourself, then hold cat and re-weigh yourself, subtract your weight and get cats weight. Any scale will do.
Question:	How long do the 2 aaa batteries last? if used daily or weekly
Answer:	I bought our Ozeri over a year ago. Between the 2 of us it gets used daily and we’re still Ok with that. Answer:	Yes! You can weigh in ounces and in fluid ounces, mililitres and grams... I weigh my food, my outgoing mail, and my lemons (that get to 15 ounces!) It's a great little scale. Not sure if you are talking about ounces and pounds, it does go to pounds so you'd still have to do the math if you went over 16 ounces (each pound weighing 16 ounces). Answer:	It's easy to clean, but with raw chicken I would always put something under it if you can't clean it with a lot of soap and hot water - it's just not worth the risk.

Answer:	The batteries should last about 6-9 months depending on your use. In terms of cost, check it out at your local store considering they use common batteries. On Amazon, you can get them for really cheap. Look up CR2032 battery
