Answer:	I've had bad luck with this containers, I went through 5 of them braking in the dishwasher, so I have 5 lids and it seems they don't sell the containers by themselves. I wish there was a market for loose stuff.

Answer:	Yes! I regularly go straight from the freezer into the Instant Pot or oven. I don't preheat the oven first, container goes from freezer to oven, then I turn the oven on. 5+ years of doing this and not a break yet!

Answer:	These containers are made of borosilicate glass .Borosilicate glass is composed of the following (as a percentage of weight): 4.0% boron, 54.0% oxygen, 2.8% sodium, 1.1% aluminum, 37.7% silicon, and 0.3% potassium. Fortunately lead is very uncommon in most glassware made in the United States these days, the biggest lead risks are in some colored glasswares or some painted glasswares. These containers should be lead-free. The amount of aluminum in them is very small and tests looking for leaching of aluminum into contents of borosilicate containers shows negligible to no appreciable amounts. These are pretty inert and should be very food-safe.

Question:	Can I purchase a replacement carafe
Answer:	I had the other Brazil version. I was able to remove the beaker. VERY CAREFUL, it is in there tight. SOAP and warm water, you should get some movement from it. I wouldn't recommend removing the beaker unless you really have to clean it. If you don't feel comfortable removing the beaker, then I wouldn't.
Question:	What is The grounds lifter made out of
Answer:	It is sad, isn't it, that some misguided bean counter at Bodun decided to earn a bonus by replacing a sturdy, metal piece (like my 30 year old Bodun has) with that ridiculous piece of plastic; saving, what? Two cents worth? Well, that was mine. I will take another commenter's advice and be gentle. It is informative that the elaborate pictures in the description do not show this particular piece; apparently they know.

Answer:	Yeah. The carafe makes a nice holder for cut flowers. Disappointed. I liked the grounds lifter, but when there were as many grounds in my coffee cup as in the carafe, that became irrelevant. Bought a different fp coffee maker.
Question:	is it possible to replace the plunger only on my coffee press the top of it has a large crack
Answer:	I've replaced the carafe once, but I think that's the only part OXO sells separately. Now my plunger is cracked, and I cannot find that replacement part sold separately anywhere (Amazon, Ebay, etc.). A person may get the filter replaced by calling OXO directly.

Answer:	The glass is thicker less fragile than other makers glass for french press coffee makes. I haven’t ever used calipers to guage the thickness.

Answer:	All of the parts are plastic.
Question:	Are the holes supposed to have diffferent flows? 3 flow fast and the others are slow drips
Answer:	I believe that the flow should be similar for each hole. Check out the video on Amazon's page. It shows all holes with a similar flow. If your flow pattern is much different you may have a unit with a manufacturing defect.

Answer:	The question is "plastic taste" not "filter taste". Hot water should not be used on plastic or nylon products. Google it!

Answer:	You put coffee up to the coffee Bean marker, 6 oz. Use 24 Oz water. Yield is about 16 oz of coffee concentrate. The book says about 5-7 drinks.

Answer:	Yes you can as a secondary to the stainless steel mesh provided. The stainless one is non removable but it will also accept a paper filter.
Question:	I’ve noticed a problem with my flavored coffee clogging the filter. I grind it as coarse as possible, is there anything else I can do
Answer:	Unfortunately, the flavor in your flavored coffee is produced by oils. Those oils are inherently going to stick to and clog up filters. this is less of an issue on the larger paper filter of a pour over or drip coffee maker, but it will present a challenge in something like this. If you're using a burr grinder, they're also going to leave residue behind on the burrs, so you'll need to make sure you're cleaning it after every use (or at very least when you change flavors and periodically for the health of the burrs). Unfortunately, your best bet if you want to add some sort of flavor to the coffee is to use an unflavored bean and add flavor to the concentrate or the final glass of coffee.

Answer:	You need to measure side to side and front to back to find the smallest diameter. If you are getting the shelf with a v-cut for the door, be sure you leave room for the shelf to swing around in front of you. Your Rev-A-Shelf should have just enough clearance to rotate but not so much that things can fall off the shelves into the corners easily. If you cut a circular piece of paper to your dimensions, you can try it in the cabinet to see how the shelves would fit and rotate.I love my shelves--I can finally reach everything stored.

Question:	If you use a sharpie as recommended, can the writing be removed with say acetone? Because what if you wish to change the contents of container
Answer:	I use a sticky-backed paper label to identify contents, then cover the label with wide sticky tape. I write the date of purchase on a separate sticky label, then use Scotch Magic Tape to protect the date. When the original item is used up, I just replace the label with the date on it (assuming that the same item is put back into the same container). Or you could remove both labels & use the container for something different. This way you won't have to worry about damaging the container with harsh chemicals.
Question:	Is the scoop marked with measurements? Like 1/4 cup
Answer:	Yes. My scoop came marked with measurements. HOWEVER, BEWARE - the measurements are INCORRECT. This is not a one-cup measuring scoop. It is about 3/4 of a cup.
Question:	Is there a way to add the accessories to older containers? My lid doesnt have the little circle slot
Answer:	I doubt it. The accessories attach with a tab that is under the lid and that tab is built into the underside of the lid.
Question:	How does this attach to the lid? I don’t see any place for it to connect
Answer:	It only connects to certain types of OXO lids. I didn't realize this and mine is not the correct type. I just washed it in very hot water, soaked it for 15 minutes, then laid it directly in the container with the hard brown sugar. It worked great!
