Question:	Would it work for small amounts of food? Not sure if the platform would work for food
Answer:	100 g isn't a lot of food or 100 ml of liquid. 1 gram = 1 milliliter, so you can use this scale for both. I could see using this for spices, but it would be unnecessary since you can use measuring cups. For comparison, a 12 FL oz of soda is 355 ml. I use mine to measure acrylic paint.

Answer:	You probably can use the bottom and top shelf but I think that you will be taking away some of the weight bearing aspect of the shelf.

Answer:	It is one of the more rare cards from the set however I'd say it's more highly demanded by collectors than it is rare. It's unique picture "full art" design, and the fact it's a Charizard make it very desirable in my opinion. Last I checked average prices were $40-$50 on eBay.
