The guy ( wearing a black shirt) used it on about eight or nine different jars, one of which was plastic. I will confess, the PB jar I test had already been opened, but I tightened it the best I could and it worked. I guess it depends on how badly you need to use it and now much you really want, what's in the jar. Beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, right?! LOL.

Answer:	Each EZ Off Jar Opener comes with three screws which are optimized to go into a cabinet, but not poke through it. Thus the screws we install are short, but they do the job and again this is to make sure they don't come all the way through the cupboard or cabinet. Some folks who've answers as you can see, only use the adhesive. We've tested it that way and had good results, but we can't possibly test in every condition and for this reason, we include screws in every order. The adhesive will hold it firmly in place so that you don't have gravity working against you while trying to screw it into place.

Answer:	The scrubber is essentially 2 nylon "poufs", one much denser than the other, and are tightly bound against the handle, back to back, in 3 places. I'm assuming they are somehow tied against each other with some sort of heavy nylon threading, but the two poufs are bound so tightly against each other that I can't see the binding material - it runs through the 3 holes in the handle.

Answer:	You add something like Jack's Magic The Filter Fiber Stuff. This adds a top layer of pulp media to the sand to increase filter efficiency. Sand filters filter down to around 20-40 Microns, the released metals are smaller than that so they pass by the sand. A pulp will capture them so you can backwash them out later.

Answer:	The best answer to this question depends on what you will be using it on, and what kind of surface finish you want. I recently used this while restoring an old mid 1800s blacksmith drill press, where the majority of parts are made of cast iron, and needed to be cleaned, degreased, sanded/buffed, and given a coat of enamel. Since cast iron is far more "grainy" and porous than many metals, this product produces a fantastic result that gives ample protection even when used underneath a paint or enamel. As another example, I use this when maintaining tools for use in the garden and woodshop. I have not noticed any color change or color residue when using this on steel tools, regardless of surface finish.

Answer:	I'm fairly certain that in this case they mean it's not suitable for exposure - say, outside in the weather. Since they mention tools, lawn and garden equipment and the like it's logical that your use would be fine as it's 'under cover'.

Answer:	I believe it is water based. It is a very thin liquid and does not cling to surfaces. It is intended to be used in a container, with the part(s) soaking in it to remove rust.
Question:	I'm looking for jar opener for my 85 y/o mother, does it work easily
Answer:	After using evapo rust, I scrub the parts under running water to remove the carbon. The either dry them with a towel or wet them down with this spray and pat dry. I then repeat a second coating of the spray and let that air dry. I haven't seen any flash rust doing it that way.
