Answer:	If it's the one i'm thinking about, it looks very similar but has a little different blade selection and a glass container.

Answer:	A storage unit? No. What you see is what you get. The individual slicers with the blades have a plastic container but it has no lid.
Question:	Is the slicer thickness size adjustable
Answer:	You know, that is a good question. I just measured the container with water and it holds about 6 1/2 cups, up to almost overflowing. Not sure how that equates to dry measurements, however, that should give you an idea. I have cut up onions, carrots and green pepper together in the container and still had plenty of room for double the amount. Good luck. Hope this helps. P.S. I love this mandoline. Be sure to purchase extra protective gloves like the one that comes with the mandoline. I need more than one as I am usually cutting up other items for my recipe, such as meats (not with the mandoline!). The protective gloves must air dry so I have purchased several pairs. Question:	Is the blade wide/durable enough to be used to slice butternut squash
Answer:	It may look small, but this particular mandolin is the closest to a professional mandolin we have ever purchased. The cutting blades are SHARP. You can go across it very quick the way it is set up but we have found that it grates cheese as effectively as a handheld cheese grater. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of this mandolin. We were extremely satisfied with this purchase!!!

Answer:	I don’t know if it’s right or not, but mine too is loose and moves around a bit. However, in my opinion it’s helpful when cleaning the mandoline, because pieces of vegetables or fruit inevitably become stuck around that area. The movement of the clear part makes it easier to clean.
Question:	I have a hand-crank drum slicer. How does the Dash mandoline compare to drum slicers
Answer:	it has 3 settings. The first setting is paper thin, about 1/16. Second setting is 1/8 inch thick and the third setting is about 3/16 inch thick.
Question:	How do you clean it? need a video on that.. thats when i cut myself
Answer:	Yes. It is awesome! Use the #2 or #3 setting. When you get close to the end USE THE HOLDER!!! This is a razor blade. People who report slicing fingers were foolish. When I was done slicing a potato I had two dime size nubs left. One from the start and one from the end. If you want longer chips slice on the bias/45° angle. Be careful and USE THE HOLDER!!!
Question:	What is the difference between dash safe slice mandolin and the zacharian one
Answer:	I tried a zucchini. Since the hand guard is only half the length of the zucchini, only the part of the zucchini that is under the hand guard gets cut. I just turned the zucchini around every few slices to even it out and do the other half, but I didn't get any slices as long as the zucchini. It slices so thin, though, that the zucchini is delicious. I hand jullienned the slices for "pasta".

Answer:	I use the little brush/stick thing that came with it. If you wash it right after use and use the brush/stick to avoid getting your fingers near the blade, you should be fine. In addition to the little brush, I use a soaped-up sponge and hot, running water rather than putting it in a dishpan.

Answer:	I know this is a few months late but this mandolin was just offered on QVC this past weekend so I looked at the use and care PDF and at the bottom it says Zakarian by Dash so, yes, both QVC and this one on Amazon are the same product.

Answer:	Actually don't use a mandolin, but you can use a knife or like me, I use a wire, or French cheese slicer. Slicing cheese will dull the blade, and as stated before be dangerous to clean.
Question:	Can you make zucchini linguine noodles with it
Answer:	Yes, the device comes with three different julienne sizes, but you have to be somewhat gentle with the julienne blades. The very finest/smallest bent pretty easily when I was trying to shred carrots.
Question:	What’s the difference between the super slicer model and the regular slicer that’s half the price..? Unclear
Answer:	If you are going to slice apples, I recommend the Jumbo. I really like ours, but it is too small for apples or many onions I have sliced. I will likely get a Jumbo also.
Question:	What is the difference between the "super slicer" and the "super standard slicer" (besides the 20$ difference
Answer:	I've never measured it but it can make tissue thin or as thick as an average pickle chip. This is the best tool for commercial kitchen. I have three of them. I'm a career chef and this is a must for prep. They are pricey but worth every penny. The blade can be removed and sharpened. It is quality just as any high priced japanese steel tool. Never settle for less than Benriner.

Question:	Do the legs nearest the handle fold down
Answer:	The Super Standard is 14 x 5.8 inches and the Super is 14.5 x 5.25 inches. Longer doesn't matter much. Wider is better. though whether it's $20 better is a judgement call. I have the narrower super version, and just trim veggies that are too wide.
