Answer:	The Deiss PRO lemon zester is 1and 1/2” wide. On lemons and oranges I can easily see the fruit as I zest so I don’t go over the same place. I like that the zest is smaller and finer than what you get with a larger grater.

Answer:	Oh of course but you might want to hold your stick low, careful of the knuckles, but nutmeg is even more "dangerous." LOL.

Answer:	I think it would be difficult. I have used it to grate hard cheese and to make lemon zest. It creates very fine pieces... probably too fine for carrots. Also, it is so sharp and quite narrow, so grating carrots seems it would be risky (you have to watch your finger tips as the food you are grating slides around a bit).
Question:	Where was it made
Answer:	It will not get stuck in the teeth, but some of the grated zest tends to stick on the side where the zest comes out, especially when the orange is very fresh. However, it's easy to remove with a fork, so you don't end up losing any. I have found this to be the best orange/lemon zester I own.
Question:	Does this grate cinnamon sticks into fine powder
Answer:	Yes, it is a clear semi hard plastic. With time you may need to lightly squeeze the cover to get it back on the zester. I think it has held up with use.

Question:	I was hoping to use this grinder for dried hot peppers. Do you think it would work
Answer:	I'm not familiar with a "williams-bound" nutmeg grinder, but I can tell you that the Peugeot grinder is frustrating for me--maybe because I'm left-handed. the clear plastic globe top doesn't stay screwed on. I've switched to using a small rasp. Not as elegant, but much less frustrating.
Question:	Why can't I get this thing open? I assume it comes apart where the white and clear plastic halves meet, but I've tried twisting,pulling, prying
Answer:	Mine does not have a cover that fits on the bottom. It really doesn't seem to leave a mess in the cabinet however.

Answer:	It actually twists apart but is poorly made and difficult to open. I ended up not using the grinder because of its shoddy workmanship. Suggest you return.

Answer:	It does a good job on everything I've tried, but I haven't tried flaxseeds. It grinds fine as dust or coarse for pepper.Small and doesn't take a big space for storage. Sorry about not having your answer.
