Question:	Is this grinder easy to clean
Answer:	I grind flax seed with this grinder. It turns flax seed in to a fine pulp I use for my smoothies. I use two tablespoons of flax seeds in this grinder at a time, pulse it a few times and then run it continuously for about 10 or so seconds and the flax seeds are nicely ground.
Question:	does it grind seeds
Answer:	Grind 1 T. of dry, white rice and 1 T. baking soda together for a full minute. Empty it out, then wipe out the chamber with a damp (NOT WET) paper towel. (If any water gets past the blades and into the motor, it will seize and never run again.) Rice will clean the blades and the baking soda will help get rid of strong spice odors.

Question:	Would this chop garlic
Answer:	Almonds are hard, and this chopper chopped right thru them. I bought this for the purpose of chopping Almonds and Walnuts. If the garlic is wet, it may not chop to well, but if the garlic is dry, then I think it would chop it. I say go for it... this little thing is rather cheap, and if it doesn't chop your garlic, it can chop your nuts for baking.
Question:	I want to chop almonds, almonds are not as soft as walnuts - right? will this chop almonds . . . and last for a long time chopping said almonds
Answer:	The treads cracked, but I can still screw it together. As far as the chopping, I am pleased with it, using almonds and pecans, walnuts, and others. It was used for breakfast by my family, and a few recipes. I was just upset that the plastic threads broke in 4 months, because it chops the way I like it, course or fine.
Question:	When the chopper clear plastic jar breaks, can a glass jar be used
Answer:	Excellent question Robin - I went and tried it with regular canning jars and it is too big then I tried misc pickle, cherry and other odd jars I have. None fit so my answer would be no but of course I don't have one of every kind, even though my husband would probably say I do - lol, it "may be" you would come across a stray jar that would accommodate the top section. I would not count on it, hope my long winded answer helped you.
Question:	I want to chop small dry dog kibbles into smaller pieces but not pulverized pieces. Would this work
Answer:	I have had this nut chopper for several months. The plastic threads (where the plastic top screws into the plastic base) have begun to crack and small plastic shards are now found among the chopped nuts. If you want to crack your dog's teeth, this is a good product.

Question:	Can a good sized nut fit in this, like cashew! We bought another one and even a small nut won't fit! Can it be easily adjusted
Answer:	This nut chopper works better with multiple, medium to small size nuts. I tried it with almonds and they don't work at all, they are too hard. The softer nuts (like cashews) would work well. I use it to make some of the bird seeds and nuts smaller (i.e., peanut pieces and some larger, like 1/4" nuts and seeds). It IS all plastic, so can't be a sturdy as a glass nut chopper. It loads and unloads easily and you can turn it one way for larger pieces and the other way for smaller pieces.
Question:	Would this work for breaking dog kibble into smaller pieces (without crushing it to powder
Answer:	Yes, would this Nut Chopper break up dog kibble into smaller pieces without it going all to powder? Yes. I use my Nut Chopper as a First Process to get almonds down to a size that my coffee bean grinder can handle to finally get the almonds down to powder. But the kibble pieces will be small. At first you might not notice but on both sides of the chopper wheel, the front, if grinding with the right hand, the slots are smaller and so you will get a finer grind by turning forward with the right hand, but the back side of the chopper the slots are larger for a coarser chop. SO my guess is that this would be a good fit for you, but use it with your left hand turning the crank forward and that will probably give you a chop with very little powder.
Question:	Has anyone used this on mesquite beans? If so, does it work well
Answer:	I've only used it for nuts, and it works very, very well on those.

Answer:	You can but you have to be careful they don’t scratch each other. I stacked but kept the cardboard inside. Now I tossed all my pans they warped horribly. Please read on using pans to prevent that. I now use Calphalon stackable!

Answer:	I don't know if wooden ones are OK to use with these. I use silicone set with stainless steel handles and they work quite well. The only "warning" I would make is to make sure the whisk is covered in silicone. Some of the sets just have stainless steel whisks and I wouldn't want to use one in these pans. BTW, I love the pans and use them all the time. So easy to clean and nothing sticks and I don't need to use oil or a spray. The only thing that I've had trouble with is cooking sunny side eggs. By the time the eggs are cooked, the bottom of the eggs are too brown.

Answer:	When speaking of a coffee grinder, it means heavy duty enough to get the job done and not wear out the motor. The last one i got lasted me 25 years and it was finally getting tired. For small seeds and spices, even hard ones, to any kind of nut, it does the job well. Almost too well if grinding nuts. Better to get the larger pieces out and grind just them than keep trying in the same batch, you can wind up with almost a dry nut butter.

Answer:	The literature says "Made in PRC" (Peoples Republic of China) and the label cast into the unit on the bottom says "Made in China."
Question:	How can you control the grind coarseness of the grind? This looks like a standard blade grinder with a motor
Answer:	If you're very serious about this question, do NOT buy this grinder. That said, I personally like it but have a few tricks to improve performance. It's very tough to accurately control the coarseness with this type of grinder. If you are looking for a med-fine for making drip coffee it's all about amount of time you hold down the button, and does a decent job. Course grounds for french press are very, very difficult, due to the way the grinder works. When I make french press, I tap the button for 1 second, 18 times, picking the grinder up and shaking after each button press. I use a kitchen sifter to let the extra fine coffee fall thru (use that for wife's cold brew) and use the course grounds for my french press. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I find that the grinder is very easy to clean ! I use a small rubber spatula for cleaning in and around the blades, which does a fine job and saves the fingers !!

Question:	It says the bowls are made of stainless steel. But looking at the image, I'm wondering - is the bottom of the bowl plastic
Answer:	The outer base and the two grinding bowls are stainless steel. The top portion of the base into which the grinding bowls lock is black plastic. The inner cover that fits both grinding bowls is clear plastic; the outer top cover that goes over the grinding bowl is clear, grey plastic. When ypou press down on this cover it activtes the grinder: a safety feature. Have had Secura about 3 months grinding flax seeds and nuts. Only requires short bursts of grinding and does a very good job. You can view the results without removing the top cover I think it;s the best of the bunch.

Answer:	Uturn, I just received this coffee grinder a few days ago and have all of the paperwork. There is absolutely nothing stated about the warranty. All you receive is the "operating and safety instructions" and that's it. Wish I could be more helpful for you but, I must add, that I find it very unusual that there is nothing stated about the warranty.Pamela

Answer:	The label says 120V AC, 60 Hz and 150 Watts. My power is 115V AC and it works fine.
Question:	Replacement blade
Answer:	I ordered 2 of these and it didn't have a replacement blade included, however, I use 1 for coffee and 1 for nuts and to date have not needed to replace and it's been continual use for nearly a year now.
Question:	If I want to grind for a french press , how long I have grind it to be perfect for French press
Answer:	If you pulse it on & off it will force the whole beans up the sides & be pulled down in the middle, its what you need to do for course grind to be used with a french press, its this way with every electric coffee grinder.
